Heaven, Paraiso, Cielo, in the heart of Duro Valley!!! Anna Marie and manager Maria welcomed us as family members and shared their beautiful garden, pool and country home, taking care of our every need including scheduling dinner reservations and wine tastings. A truely unique setting that we didn’t want to leave!!!

Memorable stay

We stayed in Casa for two nights, Maria made it a very memorable stay, she arranged a wine testing and dinner reservation, made recommendations, she really goes extra mile for the guests to make experience unforgetable. Having said that, have to say the bed was uncomfortable, room spasious but outdated, really needs an update.

Sunny quiet garden

Spotless, beautiful garden with roses, great pool, orange trees everywhere, quiet. A lovely Quinta in a quiet sunny valley. Highly recommended. Close to town ( Regua) for restaurants

Beautiful garden hotel in a quiet area a few kilometers from the town of Peso da Régua. The room was comfortable with a good bed, and small bathroom. Breakfast was a bit weak. The only problem was the WiFi which went on and off, and when on was barely usable.

The property is very pretty and well maintained. The surrounding gardens and vineyards you can walk through are especially beautiful. The rooms however (we stayed in one of the three rooms and not the suites) are quite small. For this reason alone it feels a bit over priced.

Staying at Casa Azenha was a fantastic experience. The house and grounds are beautiful and the hospitality was excellent. My favorite experiences were sitting outside in the evening overlooking Anita's beautiful garden, set against a backdrop of the estates vineyards, eating a specially prepared picnic by Anna in the vineyard (complete with basket, rug and wine) and sharing a fabulous breakfast with the other guests under the trees. This really is a very special experience.

Beautiful hotel with welcoming staff

Small idyllic hotel with a gorgeous garden and pool. We stayed for only two nights --- wish it were longer - two adults and two teenagers in a 2 bedroom suite. The bedrooms were lovely - air con if needed and very quiet, comfortable living room and a nice outside patio. Beautiful breakfasts with cheese, fruit from their own trees, fresh orange juice (also from the trees on premise), strong coffee. Best of all was the pretty beautifully maintained garden, the lovely pool and the kind attention from Ana, Diogo and everyone on staff. Highly recommend and would love to go back.

We hit the jackpot, finding this place. Everywhere you look is beauty. Beautiful flowers, gardens, fruit trees, vineyard...beautiful well-preserved old building. Every piece of furniture, art, knickknacks seemed thoughtfully collected and arranged. I think Martha Stewart would be jealous! We enjoyed dining with the other guests at breakfast, and we felt very well taken care of by the staff. We were given good recommendations on sights to see based on our time there and our priorities. Highly recommend!

We loved our stay at Casa da Azenha! We were warmly greeted and showed around the beautiful property. The home is so gorgeous and the vineyard and gardens were lush and dreamy! Simply beautiful! The daily breakfast was a great way to start the day and made us feel very welcome. Ana was so friendly and gave us great recommendations in the Douro Valley. I would highly recommend staying here for a relaxing, rejuvenating stop in the beautiful wine country; hope to be able to return someday!

Charming Oasis in the Heart of Wine Country

Breakfast on the patio overlooking the charming gardens. OJ from the trees on the other side of the hedges. Fresh eggs from the hens in the back. The housekeepers takes care of every need a guest may have. This country estate in a vineyard is the perfect weekend getaway and serves as the hub for excursions into wine country. Don’t miss Do Crasto and De La Rosa.

Es ist ein Landgut in Familienbesitz, das nur wenige Zimmer vermietet. Man fühlt sich sofort wie zu Hause. Die Hausherrin und alle Mitarbeiter sind überaus nett. Anna, die 'gute Seele' des Hauses, war immer datauf bedacht, es uns an nichts fehlen zu lassen. Das Anwesen ist wunderschön, mitten in den Weinbergen gelegen. Hier kann man entspannen, Wandern, Ausflüge, z. B. nach Lamego, unternehmen oder eine der zahlreichen Weinkellereien besichtigen und sowohl Weine als auch Portweine unterschiedlichen Alters verkosten. Es gibt viele gute Restaurants in der Gegend. Auf Wunsch wird man auch in der Casa mit leckerem portugiesischen Essen verwöhnt.
