Masthope is a private Community and requirs the booking guest to be at least 30 years old, be on site during the reservation, and to complete a Masthope Guest Registration Form at lease TWO days prior to check in date.
MASTHOPE AMENITIES: Guest passes provide access to all amenities in the community. Passes are not required if not using the amenities.

Masthope is a four season, recreational community located in the picturesque Lake Region of Pennsylvania’s Pocono Mountains. Ski Big Bear offers 18 trails, 7 lifts (including 3 Magic Carpet lifts) and 650′ of vertical. When Mother Nature isn’t sending snow our way, our snowmakers make sure the trails are blanketed with as much snow as possible. Our trails offer something for every ability! New to skiing or snowboarding? We specialize in Private Lessons and our gentle learner slopes and quality instruction will have you making turns in no time!
The community pool complex is located at the summit of Masthope Mountain. A summer favorite, the complex features 2 large competition size pools, waterslides, a diving board, a splash pad & wading pool, and a zero depth entry area. The complex is handicap accessible. Adjacent to the pool area is Masthope’s Tiki Bar. Sip your favorite cocktail and grab a bite to eat poolside with friends and family. The Tiki Bar area also offers comfortable lounge seating, perfect for larger groups and neighbors to gather.
Masthope’s white sand beach area offers a spectacular view of the beautiful 250 acre Westcolang Lake. Boating, fishing, water skiing and swimming are just a few of the activities you can enjoy at the beach! Members can launch personal watercrafts / boats from the boat launch onsite, or use one of the community’s canoes, kayaks, SUPs and paddleboats. The beach area also features a playground for little ones, a sand volleyball court, bocce and shuffleboard. Tables and barbecues are also available for lakeside picnics. The beach house is available to support activities and events year-round, and also offers many delicious food options and ice cream during the summer season, sure to satisfy your cravings.
Masthope stable staff cares for a herd of approximately 20 horses that are ready to go with pony rides, trail rides, arena rides and private lessons. Masthope Stables also offers a petting zoo, perfect for children. Daily rides are available all summer and a modified schedule is available throughout the rest of the year. Winter arena and pony rides are available during regular stable hours. Private riding lessons are also available year round. Reservations are required for trail rides. Located adjacent to the pool complex at the top of the mountain is Masthope’s own 9 hole Thundercloud Mini Golf course. Try for a hole in one as you enjoy a leisurely round with family and friends. In this area, members and guests can also find cornhole and horseshoe setups for even more friendly competition and fun.
