I thought my cabin would be ocean view but wasn’t. It was a lot more rustic than I thought. I didn’t realize the cabin didn’t have a private shower. The shower room was down the road and no hot water in the cabin. Make sure you read the full description very carefully if you want a room with a private shower.

What's great is the easy access to First Beach and the nature beauty with friendly and helpful staff.
Why I gave 3 out of 5 stars is due to the dissatisfaction and disconnect between Expedia reservation process and the actual room I got. The actual traditional cabin is one-story, felt like a substantial downgrade from the 2-story traditional cabin picture plus other 125 pictures shown on the Expedia reservation confirmation page, leading to confusion and disappointment upon check-in.
What made it even more confusing is the top and many other pictures shown in Expedia's "2-story traditional cabin" reservation page is an Oceanview from a luxury cabin with NO indications.
This process created a clear expectation of a superior cabin experience:
It took some time to get the clarifications from the friendly staff onsite. And I was told there were other Expedia guests with such confusion questions before.
This is a major issue that should be addressed. Otherwise I had a wonderful experience.
The staff followed my request and it was AWESOME. We came in for the FTF2025 & stayed a few days. I requested a photo of Jacob saying "where have you been loca!?" And they put it on the bed waiting for us.
The view from our room wasnt the best but definitely within walking distance. They provided a really bright mag light to use, a broom to sweep up your sandy messes lol. The kitchen is helpful to have and within walking distance to the little grocery store/gas station. Room was clean, windows as well to take gorgeous photos! The coat hooks really proved useful this time around bc it was quite rainy this visit. We absolutely love staying here every single time.
The photos of the room are accurate. Fantastic view of the beach. Room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. All of the staff we interacted with were friendly, courteous, and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.
Had a great girls trip weekend. The staff was kind and the view was amazing. I was very glad to stay and be welcomed in such a beautiful and historic place. Thank you so much.
very clean inside and amazing view of the ocean. really loved the book about the Quileute tribe i found in the living room, i hardly knew anything about the tribe but was able to learn a lot about them and their history within one evening. safe for solo travelers. will definitely come back again!
Beautiful location! Amazing cabins, clean and equipped for cold nights. We used the wood chimney because the heater didn’t really heat well. The wood chimney did the job. No WiFi in rooms or shower, but got tokens for the shower. Our cabin did have a toilet and sink.

Nice for visiting Olympic National Park. Loved that we could walk to the beach. Cabin needed a little repairs and updating but it was nice to have our own bathroom. Would probably splurge and get a nicer cabin next time, but it was comfortable.
Cabins were expensive and lack proper amenities. There were no showers nor hot water in the cabins. When you went to the shower house, the showers required a token to be purchased to use the showers. Then, the places to purchase the tokens were closed when the shower was needed. Really? They charge over $200 per night for the cabins and we have to pay to use the showers? I, for one, will not return!
One of the most beautiful places in Washington, definitely worth it for the view and ocean sounds. Also one of the most accessible places to stay for beach access.
The ocean view from our cabin (#26) was so spectacular and mesmerizing that we now have 72 photos of it. We were totally immersed in nature for several days and it rejuvenated us. The resort was everything it advertised to be (plus more) and the staff was excellent. And a very special “thank you” to Jerry, for solving our personal dilemma.
