Our family was staying at Johnstons golf cottage to attend a wedding on the island. Cottage was as advertised and cozy. Kitchen was well equipped. We would recommend this cottage.

Nice surroundings

The property is older but nicely updated in some areas. We had a few issues such as the dishwasher had an "out of order" sign when we arrived, but leaked water for several hours until we turned the valve off and bailed out the water in the base of the dishwasher. The can opener was broken, but fortunately my son had a tool that we used to open our cans. There were a couple of lamps that didn't work. Lastly, the listing said charcoal for the grill was provided but there was no charcoal when we arrived. Overall, the island is a great place to visit and the cottage met our needs for our stay.

Good location

We had plenty of space to enjoy ourselves. The updated living space was nice. The bedrooms were more of a cabin feel - spacious but not updated. The bathrooms were updated, small but nice. I enjoyed the ease of being able to walk to town. The outdoor deck furniture needs replacing except for a few of the folding chairs.
