Excellent location less than a 2 minute walk to Kyoto Station. The staff were extremely friendly and helped us throughout our entire stay. Very spacious rooms with enough room to relax just before bed after a long day. When we return to Japan we’ll be sure to book this. Absolutely amazing stay.

R West Group VIA INN Prime Kyotoeki Hachijoguchi is a solid choice mainly because of its unbeatable location. While the rooms do feel a bit outdated, the convenience more than makes up for it. The hotel is just a short walk from Kyoto Station and very close to malls and shopping centers, making it easy to get around and find food or things to do. Having a 7-Eleven right in the building is a huge plus and incredibly convenient, especially after a long day of sightseeing. The pajamas provided are also nice and comfortable, which was a pleasant bonus. Overall, if location and convenience matter more to you than modern room design, this hotel is definitely worth considering.

Small clean room. We did an overnight trip from Tokyo and they provided loungewear, so anyone planning to do the same, don’t worry about packing sleepwear. A lot of other hotels nearby. It was a self- checkin process, I checked in while my friend was at the museum, so u can check in a guest at a later time. 7/11 built in the side of the hotel, near a mall with a Donki less than 5 mins away. Right behind the Kyoto Train station. Some shops and such nearby for breakfast (we ate breakfast at a nearby hotel via Google Maps rec.) and grocery. Felt safe the entire time, and was affordable b/w 2 ppl

This was BY FAR the best spot we stayed at during our three week trip. Not very costly, very convenient, very clean and the amenities provided are phenomenal. Highly recommend it to anyone considering to visit Kyoto, just two blocks away from Kyoto station makes it very easy to take day trips anywhere as well!

Situated directly south of Kyoto station, the hotel was a good base to take public transit to site see and jump to other cities. Staff at the hotel were very helpful and rooms were clean. Breakfast option was decent enough for the two nights but you may want to explore other food options if you stay longer.
