The rooms were more spacious than other budget hotels in Japan that we have stayed at. I love the lounge area where there is coffee for Y100, a microwave and a hot/cold water dispenser. The staff were so helpful when we asked them to make a reservation for us at a dinner show since we cannot make local calls from our room phone.

Very close to Kyoto station which made it extremely convenient for getting around the various ends of Kyoto you want to see. The hotel was extremely clean and the room though a bit small, was spacious for Japan standards. The mattress was hard, but it was great for our backs after walking 30,000 steps. Would definitely recommend.
