The hotel was super clean. The staff was very friendly. We had an issue with the toilet and we contacted the front desk and they sent someone up to fix it immediately. Plenty of restaurants in the same building. The surrounding area is safe and quiet. Right across the street is a JR train station. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone wanting to visit Kyoto.

This is a great hotel offering excellent dining options and a nice bath house. We enjoyed the connecting fish market museum and the easy of access to the JR subway lines.

The rooms are very spacious. The staff at the reception are very nice especially the first person we met in the morning. They let us leave the luggage when we came early, then when we came back, our luggage is already in the room. The amenities are great. They have a breakfast buffet on site. There is a 7/11 convenience store few steps away. There is also a bakery and Starbucks close by. The train station is like 3-5 mins walk from the hotel. Great hotel! Excellent service. Good location.

The property is very nice and clean. Location is very convenient to catch the train. Breakfast was great! Love the variety of Japanese dishes. Only complaint is there is no dresser to put our clothes in.

This was by far my favorite hotel of my entire trip. First of for the convenience. The train station was right there, just a few minutes walk from the hotel. But also a bus stop to both sides of the hotel, so if you miss the first one, get off the second one. The stay itself was great, the staff were really helpful about everything. The room was nice and clean. Let me talk about the onsen, we definitely didn't use/appreciate it enough. After a long day soaking in the hot water just relaxes the body. But as great as it was, the onsen was quite small and definitely got crowded.

Hotel was spotless. Staff was helpful and friendly. The public bath was awesome. 1 thing we liked was, on the TV, there is notification of how busy the public bath and the breakfast area was. As well it notified you if the 4 coin laundry machines were being used and how much time is left on each. Great hotel. Close to the subway.

For the price you can’t beat this hotel

A wonderful hotel one train stop away from Kyoto station. It’s not as central as others but that might be to its benefit as it’s wonderfully quiet. The service was great, the facilities were clean, and all our expectations (minus laundry) were exceeded. The shower / bathroom is so so nice after a long day of walking. I suggest you don’t use the laundry machines onsite, they’re not very effective at drying clothes and we needed to run 3 cycles (the initial wash & dry plus two more) and we still needed to go to the laundromat 6 minutes away to finish drying.
