This family-run hotel is in an excellent location - especially for people breaking their journey though the highlands and islands of Scotland. Very friendly staff & excellent breakfast
Tingle Creek was a magical place; the scenery was so beautiful and near the rocky coast. The beds were so lovely and the bathroom newly renovated. The option for dinner we went to was one of the best meals on our trip. Andy was very interested in making our stay positive. It is close to the train from Inverness as well. The open lounge made us want to curl up with a good book and a fire. We'd love to see what it is like in the winter. Absolutely a wonderful place! Andi and Jim from BC, Canada.
This is a very clean and comfortable hotel with very friendly and helpful hosts. Breakfast was very good and we really enjoyed our stay. We would definitely stay here again.
We had a lovely overnight stay and would definitely return. Hotel was easy to find and within minutes of the Skye Road bridge. Hotel emailed check in details and recommendations for restaurants to try for dinner. This was perfect for us very useful. Our room was lovely, comfortable and clean and overlooking the loch/sea. Bathroom was clean and served its purpose, lovely thick bath towels and some toiletries included. Breakfast was lovely next day. A traditional Scottish breakfast plus all the continental choices you could want including fresh fruit, jams, cereals, fresh juices, toast etc. served in a large dining room again overlooking the grounds and sea. The evening before we enjoyed a lovely time playing a board game supplied by the hosts in the adjoining lounge. There were really comfy sofas and chairs, complete with a small highland cow seated on a chair! Hosts were lovely and saw that the guests were very well catered for.
The hosts were very welcoming and helpful. The place was very clean and well appointed. What a beautiful spot! The rooms were great and the breakfast was very good. Highly recommend!
Tingle creek was absolute perfection, perfect location for myself and my husband.
Room was lovely, spotless and comfortable.
Breakfast was delicious and a brilliant selection too choose from.
Definitely recommend to anyone looking for something special.
Cute little hotel. The room was comfortable. The lobby is nice and spacious but for some reason they lock it at 9:30 pm. A bit of a problem for travellers with jet lag. Breakfast was ok with very diluted coffee. Make dinner reservation around especially if you are there on sunday. Not many choices around and no food to buy at the hotel.
The hotel was very clean , comfortable and finished to a high standard.
We were made to feel very welcome by the owner and he was always happy to make our stay enjoyable. The hotel has wonderful views and the lounge and dining room allow you to relax and make full use of the views
The breakfasts were also tasty and plentyful.
Andrew was so kind and welcoming to the beautiful, well equipped, comfy hotel with the best view on the west coast of Scotland. We all want to return so are keen to keep it secret to ourselves but realise that would be mean. Dennis produces a superb breakfast with tales of his Romanian rescue dog Cindy putting all other sheep dogs to shame. Some may worry about the nearby railway line but it’s actually wonderful with only 4 trains a day.
Plenty of parking. Clean and comfortable room. Good welcome . Buffet style breakfast. Hot and cold food available.
If staying here, evening meals in local town extremely limited choice. We only found one place to eat, Kyle Hotel. Everywhere else closed including the fish and chip shop.
There is an area to see outside at Tingle Creek so weather permitting take supplies with you , there is a Co - opin the local town, and enjoy a drink outside over looking the loch. It isn’t directly beside the loch. Not sure we would stay again but only due to lack of evening meals. Tingle Creek did send us a list of local venues but many were closed .
Very welcoming and friendly staff, great breakfast with stunning views of the Cullins , comfortable lounge to relax during the West of Scotland wet days
I am so glad I found this property because it was so beautiful and peaceful. It's right next to the lake and various little shopping centers and it's about 30 minutes from Isle sky. The breakfast was absolutely delicious. And the staff was beyond amazing. The gentleman at the counter even helped us with her heavy luggage of the stairs. I really truly recommend this place for anyone going to the Isle of sky. I really appreciated the bathtub. It was very clean and then allowed us to take a nice warm bath which was highly needed after very long hikes.
Nice quiet location, family owned and very friendly and attentive staff, nothing too much trouble. Breakfast amazing, but no restaurant and dinner options involve a short drive into local town with a number options Chinese, Indian Fish and Chips etc, not a problem if you have a car! Would highly recommend
Excellent service, we all(4) slept good/best, the coffee tastes good & we all enjoyed the breakfest :-)
The best tip from the hotel:
Call the port at Armadale before set off, the ferry was fully booked. A alternative was given to get the Sky-Ferry (Glenelg-Kylerhea). As we were made aware on bad roadconditions, we can state that we have experienced "Brand New Tarmac" all the way down to the harbour ^^
Thank you for the lovely stay and the recommendations.
This property was amazing, it felt like home! The views from the room were great. The games room with sofas was so nice to relax on and the staff were so accommodating and friendly. The breakfast in the morning was also hot and fresh. We would consider this place again for our next Skye base.
