Close to the beach

We were looking forward to a relaxing dinner after an eight hour train trip, and made our way to the dining room. The noise (from an open gallery above the restaurant) during our entire dinner was unbearable. When we asked what the noise was, we were told it came from two people playing table football. It spoilt our entire dinner! When Expedia asked the hotel how much an upgrade would cost, the hotel told Expedia they did not offer these rooms to Expedia. We were asked to pay Euro 160 more for a lower level room, when the couple checking at the same time as us, where offered a free upgrade. Not exactly ethical.

good...but needs a remodel

Great place to stay. It looks like it may be an older place, therefore needs to be updated a bit. Food was OK. Room was good enough. stage outside always had something going on. My only complant is the parking. It takes some getting used to...with the car elevator and all.

Ich habe selten so freundliches und fürsorgliches Personal an der Rezeption, beim Frühstück und in der Küche gesehen. Alle Sonderwünsche werden erfüllt. Die Strandnähe und der Ausblick und die Dachterrasse sind einfach 5 Sterne wert! Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Insgesamt ein sauberes gepflegtes Hotel mit sehr freundlichem, serviceorientiertem Personal. Hervorzuheben sind die Qualität der Speisen (Dinner a la Card) und das Frühstücksbuffet (auch wenn man den inkludierten Sekt ausdrücklich einzeln bestellen muss). Weniger gefallen haben uns die sehr weichen / durchgelegenen Matratzen (das haben andere Hotels besser im Griff). Der Spa / Wellnessbereich (indoor) bietet nur wenige Liegen (Ruheraum 2 Etagen höher ist unpraktisch, wenn man mehrere Saunagänge machen möchte), die Massagedüsen im Pool funktionierten nicht, Sauna erst ab 15 Uhr (warum?) und Kindergeschrei im Wellnessbereich. Am 2. Tag war die Dampfsauna gesperrt ohne Hinweis auf den Grund oder wann wieder verfügbar. Zum Schluss noch positiv zu erwähnen ist der gemütliche Wintergarten, wo man den Tag bei einem leckeren Cocktail ausklingen lassen kann. Vielen lieben Dank auch für das Osternest im Zimmer.

Alles etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Man hat ein bisschen das Gefühl, das Hotel ist in den 70ern stehen geblieben. Der Frühstücksraum ist unvorteilhaft gelegen, keine Möglichkeit zum Draußensitzen. Außerdem ist das gesmte Hotel sehr verwirrend, viele Fahrstühle, die in nur begrenzt in bestimmte Etagen fahren. Das Parkhaus war mein persönlicher Horror. Man muss mit einem sehr sehr engen und verwinkeltem Fahrstuhl fahren. Alles in Allem zu teuer für das Angebot. Die Lage und der Pool auf dem Dach sind ein Highlight.

Niemals hätte mein Mann und ich damit gerechnet, dass dieses Superior Zimmer eigentlich ein Dachzimmer wäre. Zwar mit Ostseeblick, aber einem holprigen (2 Stellen) Zugang. Der Fernseher am Bett hatte hatte ein ständiges Ruckelbild und sprang auch an und um, wenn wir den Apparat im "Wohnbereich" bedienten. Das Bad war ok, bis auf den Kosmetikspiegel. Er war in einer Höhe von 1,80m angebracht und lies sich nur hin- und her bewegen nicht rauf und runter. Als Gutwill bot man/Frau Pohl uns kostenlos 1x Kaffee und Kuchen im Wintergarten an. Wir haben es abgelehnt da wir am Tag vorher dort waren und uns der Kuchen nicht geschmeckt hat. Das Zimmer gehörte auch selbstredend nicht zu den schon renovierten. Fazit: Erfahrung macht hoffentlich klug.

A good place for a get-away

The hotel has a premium location at the seaside. Very comfortable and spacious room and a nice bathroom. Great wellness area and good restaurant/bar. Highly recommendable.
