Wonderful stay at Portal House Apartments! The location is fantastic, right in the heart of Krakow and very close to everything. The apartment was big, nicely decorated and very clean. The bathroom was spacious and beautiful and everything felt well taken care of. The best part was definitely the amazing staff. They welcomed me with warm smiles and made me feel at home right away. So kind and helpful! Breakfast was great to! Lots of choices and everything fresh and tasty. I can really recommend staying here if you appreciate cleanliness, friendly people, and a perfect central location. Thank you so much for making my time in Krakow so much better. Staying at your place was a real highlight of my trip.

Location was great, cleanliness and breakfast as well. Friendly staff. Comfortable bed. The only thing was that the AC was working so poorly. I could never really tell if it was working at all. I could see the receptionist change the AC settings in the hallway, but if any cold air was entering my room, I didn't notice. I would definately come back (and hope to do so next year), but because of the hot room (=bad sleep) I would avoid the summer. Otherwise I would highly recommend this hotel.

A hotel with amazing staff and an extremely helpful owner manager. Beautiful art deco style decor throughout and a lift to all floors as well as stairs, if you would prefer. The reception area is very well kept and the dining area, of to the right, is also. The rooms are delightful, we had good views of the terrace below and could see the main tower in the square from both windows. We had room 8.1 which I believe was a larger bed. Stacks of choice for breakfast, meats & cheeses, cooked eggs & bacon, pastries, cereal, fruit and tea & coffee. We had booked an Auschwitz trip for 0900 Sunday but that got changed to an 0520 pick up, yes, not a typo! The owner/manger, who's name I still can't pronounce, made us a breakfast bag for pick up at 0445, what an absolute star. If that isn't pushing the boundaries I don't know what is. Auschwitz is a very long day, with a very early start, it was a bit too much for me, as I suffer with many ailments. Please be prepared! Buy any mars bars, sweets, drinks and food before you go, as the vending machines at the site are horrifically expensive. It's a 2 minute walk to the main square, where you are spoilt for choice for menus, drinks & desserts. We would happily stay here again and would not bother looking anywhere else.

Highly recommended.

The hotel was quiet and very convenient to the centre of Krakow with restaurants close by. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was enjoyable with a wide variety of foods. We had a very pleasurable stay and would highly recommend staying there.

The location offered easy access to dining and nightlife of Old Towm, but is on a quiet side street. The apartment was very comfortable, with a bedroom sitting area and kitchenette if you wanted to prepare meals.

The hotel is around the corner from the main square and is very walkable to all sites, the train station, and tram options. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was very accommodating and friendly. The included breakfast was adequate with a small variety of options. My only negative is this, my room faced the front of the hotel and the street and I could not sleep with the window open at night due to the noise. However, when I closed the window, the soundproofing worked great but it was then warm in the room.

Everything was perfect. Staff were helpful and accommodating. Location is within short walking distance to attractions. Lots of places to eat in the area. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Each day they varied the hot food selection and salads. Room was spacious. Bathroom was spacious. AC/heating is centralized so can't control the temperature within the room. Hot water and water pressure worked. I enjoyed my stay at Portal.

What a wonderful stay we had at portal apartments. Very good location. Accessible. I would like to say that the showers were great but maybe having a wet room would be an upgrade. My mum fell getting into the shower. There is no spa on site as like it states on Expedia but they have people come in for massages reasonable priced too! Lovely little balcony. Breakfast was great those cakes were to die for. Many thanks for a lovely stay. Leanne

The only negative of this hotel was the air conditioning - the system is controlled by the staff and it is shared between rooms. For some reason the staff turn of the air conditioning on our third night and we had to go downstairs at midnight to have them turn it back on.

The staff at the front desk were friendly and offered some great advice when asked about a few of the places I was thinking about visiting. The building sits on a relatively quiet street in the old town, so it is convenient but not as loud as I would imagine other locations might be. The room was clean and spacious but the bed was a little firm for my liking. Despite that, I would definitely stay here again.
