Great location close to Old Town; quick 10 minute walk. Generous breakfast open 7am-10am. Our room was fairly large in comparison with others we’ve stayed in while in Europe. There’s a pub/restaurant in the basement of the hotel that’s reasonably priced.

Krakow Ostoya Palace Hotel

Enjoyable stay. Staff friendly and efficient. Short walk to main square but watch out from trams when crossing to university area. Breakfast sufficent choices.No problems sleeping. Recommended.

Very nice but the rooms on the 2nd flr are small

Very nice hotel, centrally located close to the old town with easy access to the Tram stop. Good service and breakfast. The hotel is in what seems like a historic building which is very well maintained. Please be aware that the rooms on the 2nd floor do not have regular windows-they have a skylight which can be opened.

good position for city centre and public transport

very good hotel any request handled quickly and without fuss. good position relative to city centre and transport but far enough away to be quite. not overloaded with facilities but does have 24hr front desk. rooms spacious and clean and made up every day.breakfast was acceptable though was an extra cost. staff very courteous and quick to offer any help.

Nice place to stay. The WiFi was a bit spotty, but the room was clean and reception was friendly and spoke English. Breakfast is available and a bit pricey (30 PLN) compared to what you could get elsewhere. Great location close to Old Town and the Market Square. The pub/restaurant downstairs also has good food and decent prices.

Excellent hotel for exploring Krakow

I arrived in Krakow at the main bus station - the hotel is an easy 20-30 minute walk through the park. Check-in was easy, the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was continental buffet, not the widest choice I've had, but absolutely fine. The hotel is a short walk from the main square, or from the river in the opposite direction - an ideal location for exploring Krakow.

Kraków hols

We were on a 4 night mini break ,Kraków s a beautiful city with many awesome buildings ,this hotel was a five to ten minute walk to central square were you find restaurants and bars and cafes ,we booked our excursions to auschwitz and birkenau camps and also the salt mines of wieliczka. The Ostoya Palace Hotel is a good hotel but a bit jaded I think ,good staff,and clean rooms .

A good hotel to go back to

Great stay - mainly business for me while my wife had a vacation. We altogether enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The staff are all responsive to any concerns or requests, and we like them. The facilities are comfortable and quiet enough if not luxurious. Breakfast good & custom eggs quickly available on request. Near enough to the old town, and for my purposes very convenient to the Auditorium Maximum.

Comfortable hotel near Old Town Square

We had only a short 2-night stay in Krakow, but we were pleased with the hotel choice we had made. The building itself was once a palatial residence. Although the decor is beginning to look a little bit tired and in need of some replacing, it still retained the air of it's original grandeur with it's high ceilings, stained glass in some of the windows, and paintings in the breakfast room. The building had central air-conditioning, with adjustable thermostats in the rooms. The private bathrooms were fairly small, and included a shower, toilet, sink, and towel-warmer. Our room was on the top floor, so we had skylights instead of windows. The hotel has a lift, if you would rather not take the stairs. The hotel was quiet, and the staff very polite and helpful. The hotel felt very secure to us, and our car was parked in a securely fenced lot. (You need to reserve a parking spot ahead of time.) The location was perfect for us. It is located just one long block outside the green space which encircles the Old Town Square - a 5 to 10 minute walk, depending on your pace. To get to Wawel Castle, or Wieliczka salt mine, we were able to catch the city transit bus from a stop about 2 blocks from our hotel. Our package included the buffet breakfast, with lots of variety - both hot and cold foods, including some delicious breads and baking. If we ever have the opportunity to return to Krakow, we would be happy to stay at this hotel again.
