The chalet is also an excellent starting point for beautiful hiking trails through the region and is located in the border triangle of Austria - Italy - Slovenia. The chalet offers a spacious living room with dining table and seating area, a modern fully equipped kitchen, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a covered outdoor terrace, a beautiful garden with deck chairs and a storage room with a washing machine. You can park directly at the chalet. Ski-in - ski-out, the chalet is right on the slopes and about 100 meters from the ski lift, which takes you directly to the Kötschach - Mauthen - Vorhegg ski area, a small but fine ski area with 6 km of ski slopes and 37 km of cross-country ski trails. Kötschach-Mauthen is located at the upper end of the Carinthian Gailtal, nestled in breathtaking mountain formations, belongs to the Nassfeld - Pressegger See tourist region and offers a good selection of restaurants and shops, all hiking and cycling tours, the Hike World with 25 themed trails and a large swimming pool (Aquarena water and wellness oasis). Other ski areas in the region are the Nassfeld ski area with 110 kilometers of slopes, the Zettersfeld ski area at the foot of the Schleinitz in the Lienz Dolomites in East Tyrol with 21 kilometers of slopes or the Golzentipp family ski area in Obertilliach in the East Tyrolean Hochpustertal with 12 kilometers of slopes. There are many activities such as walking, hiking and mountain biking. Also visit the Wolayersee and the Frischenkofel to experience the impressive mountains and lakes. In summer, the Waldbad Mauthen natural swimming pool or the Pressegger See east of Hermagor offer plenty of bathing fun!
