This isn’t 4star hotel. The bathroom is too narrow and the window isn’t double glazed so you can hear all outside noise to your room. I stayed 5nights at the hotel and couldn’t sleep nicely even one single night

Refurb required.

Main benefit is the location of the hotel, close to central station, shopping malls and restaurants. The hotel is outdated and needs a major refurb. The rooms is big, very dim as no main lights as only wall lights. Not very cosy or comfortable.

Incredible and kind front desk. I stayed there a week and they took excellent care of me. Over and beyond care. I will always remember the Leonardo Utrecht front desk staff. Great location, easy to walk to the train station and into the University. Gorgeous room with wonderful window light and view of the tower.

The path to the room ran under the hotel and getting to the room and back was more of a hassle than I like. Also the room was in the basement, and it was too many euros for the level of comfort I actually got.

Leonardo staff was friendly and willing to help. I addressed a concern I had prior to arriving and I was pleased to find out it was resolved and I received an upgrade. Professional and friendly young staff. The hotel is located in the perfect location. It's about 7 minutes away from Utrecht Centraal and if you cut through Hoog Katherijn Mall it might be five. I love how easy it was to walk around the city center, reach the restaurants, museums, Dom Tower, and more. I felt safe to walk around the vibrant city(day and night) filled with many young students and other visitors. My complain: I had no AC but fans, however it was fine because the weather in the Netherlands is pretty comfortable. Breakfast was very good and you have tea and the cappuccino/expresso machine available in the Eating area all day as well as the expresso maker and tea pot in the room. Ah, bring your own blower if you want to style your hair. Most hotels blowers are in dire need of an upgrade. Traveling single? Perfect place to be and feel safe at all time. I recommend this hotel in Utrecht. Bedankt!

Good location and abt 100m to the Hoog Catherine shopping centre car park. Hotel gives a discount to bring cost to E27.50 for 24 hrs. Breakfast was quite good and organised with different options. Room was a good size although showing age with narrow shower over a bath and tiny sink. Had a problem w car park. Email confirmed a car park the day before that the hotel no longer used. Had to move the car but cost us E4.50 for nothing. Bed was quite hard and pillows lumpy. Room overlooked a noisy intersection and balcony was more like a ledge. Utrecht is expensive for hotels and parking. Oudegracht canal is the main draw but water looked murky and hardly flowed. We loved Leiden more.

You get a lift from reception down to the basement then along a corridor to another lift that takes you to your floor. Second lift not working wasn’t told no offer of help to busy trying to sell breakfast. As a base it met our needs but deffo overpriced in my opinion
