I’d stay here again!!

Staff members were great, especially the guys who handle the luggage and the cars, and the staff in the restaurant and at the beach. The room was lovely and well appointed. Loved the views!!

Nice hotel but need to improve access.

Hotel is great but, given that it is 125 steps to get up to the hotel, they need to improve the running of their golf cart service. They seem to only come down when they are carrying people down and frequently there were several groups waiting at the bottom of the hill with no cart in sight. They need to either run the golf cart regularly every 5 or 10 minutes or install a phone or other communication method at bottom. I saw many people, some of who did not look especially mobile, give up and trudge up the 125 steps.

Really lovely hotel, friendly staff great breakfast and a choice of other restaurants for dinner - recommend the Spinaker. It is a big hotel but we loved it - would recommend.

Good and bad

Staff is great, like to mention how friendly and accommodating Mia at guest relations was, Also our house keepers were always smiling and chatty. Unfortunately we felt a bit deceived by the name/price of our room type. We booked and paid for a superior room with a balcony and sea view but we found out any “superior” room simply means sea view. And after seeing the renovated rooms on the upper floors and our rooms having to be changed and key cards deactivating 4 times we do not feel like we had any “superior” perks. After talking to other guests it is best to book last minute as they seem to give any good rooms left to last minute guests at a lower rate

Have to say the hotel is BIG very big. Built before the fall of communism it was built as a showpiece. Although it has about 500 bedrooms, the service is truly exceptional. Staff are extremely well trained and the place runs like clockwork. Food in the buffet restaurant is wonderful both in range and quality. Not cheap but felt I left having had value for money
