We loved the location. It was easily walkable to the beaches. It was nice to have two bedrooms, a bathroom and a living space. We did not have beach towels when we arrived, but they did deliver some upon request. The assigned parking was nice as well. I would stay here again.

We had a great stay! It was just a short walk to the beach which we enjoyed every day of our trip. It is a nice quiet neighborhood. We'd definitely stay here again!

Our room was as described, but tired. Communication with the management company was great. I reached out several times and they responded within minutes. However, the three separate AC units (not central AC) were very noisy when the pump activated and kept us awake all night with the intermittent loud, sharp buzz and hums. By the second night, we had to turn the AC units off. Bummer in hot, humid weather. The shower appeared to be under repair - the bottom part was painted a bright red, Seemed to be a water proofing material. And the shower water temp constantly fluctuated from cool to too-hot. The shower head malfunctioned and could not be switched to the more powerful stream of water. It took a mighty long shower to get the shampoo rinsed out of my hair. The dishwasher is missing its kickplate.

Cute but rat infested

The property was cute, the location was desirable, and the check-in process was seamless. Our only serious issue was that the property was infested with rats. We heard the rats scurrying through the walls and ceiling, which made it hard sleeping at night (we have videos). When we’d wake up, all of our food was destroyed and the counters were covered in rat droppings. This continued for the 10 days we stayed there. Two of the days we fell ill, which very well could’ve been from the rats getting into our food.After contacting the host, they had someone set up traps, but the traps were too small for the rats. We had to spend our own money buying traps that were the right size. We ended up catching and disposing several rats (we have pictures).We spent a significant amount to stay here, and we believed it wasn’t fair having to pay that much money to stay in a place infested with rats. We raised this concern with the host, who said they’d credit us 100, to which we still haven’t received. However, the 100 wouldn’t even cover the cost of all the food we had to throw away, not to mention the lack of sleep and peace of mind we lost on this trip.I’m sure the host will respond saying they’ve addressed the issue with the rats, which is great. What’s not great, is how unfairly compensated we were after spending so much money to stay in a rat infested room.

It could have been better

We paid $384 total cost/night. The unit had comfortable furniture, beds, and A/C, but was not sanitary enough. To improve the rating we recommend: cleaning kitchen table and kitchen counters to remove tiny ants and spiders; cleaning bathroom to remove cockroaches and earwigs. The property manager immediately responded when we told them we spotted a mouse in the living room (they came and set traps), that the dish washer was not secured to the counter (they secured it). We also called the property manager to let them know that the bedroom ceiling fan was broken and that one of the two laundry room washing machines was broken (both items were not repaired during our stay).

Amazing time in Poipu!

Location of this property was amazing, since all we wanted to do was swim and sun. Best beaches. The AC was great to have, and there were many nice extras (chairs, umbrellas, etc)!

One of the best locations in Poipu

One of the best locations in Poipu Beach. Walk to beach, restaurants... Turtle watching was awesome. Love Brennecke's Beach. No room numbers near front door so hard to find at night. Bothered other tenants making noise while trying to find our room in the dark. Only a charcoal bbq. Propane smoker bbq not working (doesn't look like it's been working for a long time). Air conditioning in second bedroom now. No snorkeling equipment, so bring your own or rent.

Nice condo. Great view of the ocean. Good location on the island where you can get to both far west and far north in an hour or less. Well stocked kitchen. A/C worked perfectly. Great beach chairs. Would definitely recommend for a great stay on Kauai!
