With a stay at At the White House in Skagway (Downtown Skagway), you'll be within a 5-minute walk of Mascot Saloon and Trail of '98 Museum.
The hotel and room were very nice. Only issues were that they said they offered coffee and hot water in the reception area but the hot water dispenser was empty the whole time I stayed there and I saw no coffee. The room was overpriced.
