Shady business practice

I was not told over the phone when I called multiple times to ask about the pet policy. I was charged 50 dollars plus 25 a night. I understand that I will receive the 50 back in “a few business days” as I was told but the fact that I called and asked and was not told of the charge to me is very shady business practices. I don’t like surprise cost when I arrive somewhere. This hotel is not worth 200 a night which is what I end up paying. I would have stayed at the la Quinta instead where they do not have surprise fees when you arrive. I tried to give a choice brand hotel a chance and after this I experience I will stay with the other guys. I am disappointed to say the least at the lack of transparency from this hotel.
