If your looking for a place to vacation that has........Close/Easy access to the beach......a classic OBX beach cottage feel.....Clean updated interior.....Well stocked kitchen....and a nicely manicured lawn and gardens where the kids can safely play......this could be the right place for you and your family.

This cottage on Martin Street has one of the best locations in Kill Devil Hills for close and convenient access to the beach, grocery stores, drug stores, shopping and restaurants. It is literally right in the middle of the OBX, and it's only a 2 minute walk straight to the beach.

It is an owner managed, very clean, 3 bedroom, 2 bath, single story, 'Smoke Free' beach cottage located on Martin St. in Kill Devil Hills, NC at Mile Post 9 just 2 lots back from the Beach Road.

RESERVATIONS
During the peak summer weeks the cottage is available on a nightly basis with a 5 night minimum and during the off season the cottage is available on a nightly basis with a 3 night minimum. Feel free to contact Dean at any time if you have questions about renting this cottage for your vacation. We offer discounts to both seniors (over 65) and active duty military families.

KEY NOTES
Each year we keep making improvements to the property to give our tenants a well maintained home for their summer vacation. We've upgraded the appliances, installed new carpeting, rebuilt the deck, installed a new lawn and flower beds, built a new outdoor shower....to name a few. We are constantly upgrading and improving the cottage for all to enjoy.

OTHER PROPERTY DETAILS
1) The Kitchen is fully stocked with all the appliances, kitchenware and utensils you will ever need during your vacation.....and also has an assortment of seasonings and spices for you to use. It may not be the same as home...but it's close

2) The Living Area includes comfortable seating for 7 with a 43” smart HDTV, with streaming video via Youtube TV and Netflix.

3) The Master Bedroom suite includes a queen sized bed, 32” HDTV, and a full sized bath with tiled floor and walk-in tiled shower

4) The two hall bedrooms have a queen sized bed in one and a set of bunk beds and twin bed in the other. Both have 32" HDTV's with streaming video via YoutubeTV on each.

5) The hall bathroom is full sized with a tiled floor and tub/shower combination with tiled walls

6) The house comes with either wired or wireless internet and streaming video TV as described above.

7) The first level deck in the back of the house includes a cozy two person swing, Adirondack chairs, a custom picnic table, and an under drain system to keep the deck dry so you can have an outdoor picnic on a rainy day

8) The second level deck in the back of the house provides a view to the ocean and plenty of lounge chairs for relaxing or sunbathing

9) The ground floor under the cottage provides ample room for off street parking, a second picnic table, garden hoses, gas grill and a new custom outdoor shower.

10) The tenant storage closet on the ground floor has beach chairs and umbrellas, boogie boards and beach toys for our guests to use.

11) The cottage comes with full linen service that includes
Sheets and pillow cases for all 5 beds
Bath towels, hand towels, wash cloths and bath mat for up to 7 guests
Kitchen tea towels

12) We provide one roll of paper towels and a clean sponge in the kitchen for each new family of guests. We also provide trash bags and dishwasher soap under the sink for all guests.

LOCATION
The walk to the beach is just 2 minutes straight out the font door to the beach. When you arrive at the beach on Martin Street you will find ample parking (if needed), public showers, a port-o-john toilet, and a life guard stand.

Within walking distance of the cottage you will find two drug stores (CVS & Walgreens), 6 restaurants (Dare Devils Pizza, The Bonzer Shack, Food Dudes, 5 Guys, JK’s Steakhouse, and Fuji Steak House) and 17th street surf shop. Within a 3 minute drive you will find 3 grocery stores, "Sunsations" (for all your beach supplies), and Duck Donuts (a favorite stop of all visitors to the OBX.

This beach cottage was absolutely beautiful and the perfect place for our family vacation in the Outer Banks. The location was excellent, making it easy to enjoy the beach and everything nearby. The home was comfortable, well-kept, and had everything we needed to feel right at home during our stay.The host was amazing - friendly, responsive, and clearly committed to making sure guests have a great experience. The location was awesome! Beautiful outdoor spaces that we enjoyed. It was well equipped and comfortable. Communication with the host was easy. The only negative was cleanliness on arrival. Surfaces were dirty: crumbs on counter, splatters, toilets not clean. I’m thinking cleaner didn’t show? Wiped all down myself and all was good.

Perfect stay for 2 couples, comfortable beds, 2 full baths. Short walk to the beach, however we usually drove to restaurants and other places of interest due to many along busy highway. Host was extremely prompt with communications which was very helpful with questions, check-in, etc. We appreciated the restaurant and places of interest he recommended. Excellent location. One row from beach access on a side street. It has an excellent outdoor shower that we love. Plenty of kitchen accessories. The property is well maintained inside and outside. Free linens for beds. Towels, hand towels, wash clothes, and dish clothes provided. This house is very cozy and carpeted. Great outside porches and decks. Plenty of beach chairs, umbrellas, and kid toys for the beach. We have rented this beach house multiple times. Feels like home. Very nice place for the price.

This was our second stay at this lovely house by the beach in the Outer Banks, and once again, it did not disappoint. The house was spotless when we arrived, which we truly appreciated. It's clear the owners take great care in maintaining the property.One of the things we love most about this location is how convenient everything is. It’s just a short walk to the beach, and we’re always happy to be so close to the ice cream shop—definitely a favorite stop after a day in the sun! There are plenty of activities nearby too, whether you're looking to relax or explore.Overall, it's the perfect spot for a beach getaway, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit

Perfect summer beach house! Had a wonderful stay - enjoying coffee on the porch swing on the covered porch, fully stocked kitchen, short walk to the beach. Loved it all. Perfectly within walking distance of everything!

My husband, stepmom, and I stayed for a whole week and totally enjoyed not having to drive for the majority of the time. The beach and lots of great restaurants are within walking distance. We also enjoyed the decks, with the lower one providing a nice shady spot during the day and the upper deck providing a great place to see the stars.

Great stay at the Outer Banks!

This was a great home for our family of five. We enjoyed the short walk to the beach, restaurants, and being in a central location in the outer banks which allowed exploring many attractions. Eating as a family on the porch and lounging in the swing were favorites for us all! We would definitely rent here again.

Perfect Getaway for a long weekend

The Perfect Getaway was exactly as described. We loved how the house is decorated - cute, simple, and beachy. The house is in the perfect location to get to anywhere on the Outer Banks easily. There are many different food options available and the grocery stores are all close enough to run out and return back quickly. It’s a quick walk to the beach which was wonderful. We did not use any of the chairs or other beach items available. Maybe next time when it’s a little warmer. The kitchen had all the necessities to cook most anything. The only downside was the mattress in the guest room. It was uncomfortable and girls switched to the twin beds after the first night. The bed in the primary bedroom and the twin beds were way more comfortable. Over all, this was a great trip and we really enjoyed our stay. Would definitely stay here again.

Good location

The beach house is well equipped with good amenities. Great bath towels. Was surprised to have to make the beds, but understand why I guess. Never had to put linens on beds at a rental before but it did ensure they were clean. Being off-season, we did a lot of walking on the beach and just hanging out catching up. The house is very close to a convenient public beach access. Restaurants within walking distance and many options within a short drive. Didn't use beach towels. Wish we had the opportunity to use the outdoor shower, which looked amazing! Too cold for that. Enjoyable stay and would stay again.

We had a great time. The house was just as pictured and was exactly what we expected. It was after we got there we used the same beach access on a precious stay. It was great. Able to walk to local resteraunts and eat before walking the beach. Would deffinatly look to stay again if vacationed in OBX again.
