THIS CONDO IS SIMPLY ONE OF THE BEST IN THIS METICULOUSLY MAINTAINED DEVELOPMENT

We have just finished extensive re-modeling, including new 18x18 Italian floor tile throughout, new kitchen and bath cabinets with granite countertops, and brand new teak plantation style furniture.

Our home away from home is located on the third floor, and has expansive ocean views from the bedroom and living room lanais. Our unit also faces the beautiful INTERIOR of the complex and/or overlooks the well manicured tropical landscaping and pool area (versus many other units overlooking the exterior and/or the mountain view/parking lot area).

Our condo is located in the Kauhale Makai Resort, and is also known as Village by the Sea. Our address is 938 South Kihei Road, #328, Kihei, Maui, Hawaii, and we are on the ocean side of Kihei Road. Our unit comfortably sleeps four with a brand new serta king size bed with luxurious 600 thread count sheets, and queen size futon in the living room.

Our condo complex features a manned lobby, concierge service for booking your outings, elevators, coin operated laundry rooms on every floor, newly remodeled pool area plus a kiddie pool and Jacuzzi, gas fireplaces adjacent to the pool, a putting green, a volley ball court, and shuffleboard. We also have the most incredible ocean side tennis courts immediately adjacent to our complex. And we have broadband high speed internet (the fastest speed on the island).

We are a 20 minute drive from Maui – Kahului Airport. We are 2 minutes from downtown Kihei with grocery stores, restaurants, and shopping aplenty. We are within 5 minutes of the world famous Kamaole I, II, and III beaches. And we are within 10 minutes of beautiful Wailea and the upscale 'Shops at Wailea' shopping center.

Maui is world famous for its beaches, and you will find that you can trek from the beach in front of our unit endlessly along the coastline.

We have an activity director in our lobby, which can assist you in booking endless fun, including: luaus, whale watching tours, sailing, horseback riding, snorkeling, golf, biking down a volcano, wine tasting, fishing, jet skiing, windsurfing, surfing, etc…, etc…, etc…

The view of the bay is outstanding! We saw whales from the balcony on several occasions. We opened the sliding doors the minute we got there, and didn't close them until we left. Pretty birds joined us on the balcony for breakfast every morning. Temperature was perfect!(The screen doors are a bit cantankerous, but that's typical of screen doors in an ocean environment.)The household has two beach chairs, and a good size cooler for picnics. There is nice artwork throughout the condo. The kitchen is small, but well-equipped for any cooking you want to do. From the condo, It's not easily walkable into town. There is no shoulder or sidewalk on S. Kihei road at that point. There is no direct sunrise or sunset view from the balcony (at least in early January), so you have to get off your keister and walk down to the beautiful lawn if you want to watch the sunset. The TV's are not "smart" (just have basic cable) so if you want to stream Netflix after a day of snorkeling, you'll need to bring a Firestick. There's a very nice barbecue area with Tiki torches that are lit every evening, and several picnic tables. Would have used it but it's a bit daunting to drag all the barbecue accoutrements down there. The pool area is also very nice, and was never crowded the week we were there. The beach is okay. Just a short walk from the condo, not very wide, and a bit rocky, but it's not far if you feel like taking a dip in the ocean. All told, an excellent experience!

Great value for the money. Clean & comfortable. The view from the balcony is so beautiful & the central location was perfect for exploring the entire island. Definitely bring your own toiletries and spices as none are provided. We ran out of toilet paper and also wished there was a full length mirror for getting ready. And p.s. watch out for the bed on wheels and rapid toaster-it toasts very dark even on the lowest setting. Wonderful time

Great Family Resort!

The property grounds are very well maintained. The pool and BBQ areas were sparked up daily by the resort staff who were all so kind and skilled.The condo had two Tommy Bahama chairs available for us to use and a couple of beach towels which was all we needed to get started. The kitchen had simple amenities and included all the basics.The highlight for us was the daily pool meetups with other families that had kids the same age. This crew would usually clear out around 11 and make way for the quiet book-reading poolside adults. There were always enough chairs for everyone.If you have a rental car I strongly recommend this spot. It’s within a 10 minute drive of so many beaches, shopping, Maui Ocean Center, quick to/from Kahului and good access to West Maui!

Love this condo just needs some fixing up

Thank you for letting us stay at your place. We love staying in this complex it’s close to everything. The condo has a beautiful view and everything you need. There’s just a few things that needs attention. The curtains have food on them and need to be cleaned. One of the screens on the doors are completely ripped on bottom half but neither one barely open or close and are very loud. These are minor things but we felt like we were bothering are neighbors every time we wanted to go on Lanai, it’s such a peaceful and quiet place. Maholo

My wife and I stayed for two weeks in February 2025. Pros: The views from the lanai are absolutely beautiful. We saw whales every day. The location on the island is close to everything. Cons: This accommodation did not meet my standard of cleanliness. Cupboards, cutlery and fridge were dirty. Behind and under the bed was very dirty. The coffee maker and blender had not been cleaned in along time - I went to Walmart and bought my own. Aside from the flooring and countertops, this place is in need of some TLC, updating and a thorough cleaning. For the rent and cleaning fees we paid, I expected far better. On a side note (and no fault of the owner) the pool area is very small and there is no bathroom. Every day we saw people spend a long time in the pool without leaving.

early January 2025 visit

This property was well positioned for access to all the restaurants and public beach parks of Kihei without being right by them. It was a good value for the area and great for a couple. This particular unit doesn't face the sunset but there's a large yard and sandy beach on property to view sunset or watch the activity on the cove and beyond.

The condo was in an beautiful area and some very beautiful views of Maalaea Bay. the room was nice except for the TV’s, they where not very easy to operate and never was able to get the living room tv to work but we where not there to much to use them.

Happy in Maui!

The view from the property was amazing. We took full adavantage of the kitchen and dinning area for breakfasts and lunches. We had a couple of questions during our stay. Management respond quickly and folloed up to make sure our needs were met. Great stay!!!

Overall, I enjoyed my stay at the Condo. It looked and felt as advertised. The only thing I would recommend as an improvement would be the bed, mattress, and pillows - I think they have aged and they should be replaced for a more comfortable stay.

We really liked the condo and location. Could use a little updating and issue with living room tv it was unplugged so i plugged it back in but never got it to work and TP dispenser screws stripped so it needs to be fixed. Overall we liked it and would stay there again.

Great place and amazing owner!
