Definitely not your typical rental unit. Flawless 2 bedroom 2 bath condo which has been owner occupied for thirty plus years and has been newly remodeled. Hardwood floors and wood louvered window coverings. Crown molding with undermount lighting. High quality kitchen and vanity cabinets. Top grade furniture, including a leather sleep sofa and solid wood cabinetry.

Amenities include boogie boards, beach chairs, a cooler, beach towels and beach toys. Kitchen has cooking gear and dining sets—and even a Ninja blender. Washer and dryer in the unit. Pack n’ Play for your little one. Air conditioning and fans in every room. All of the amenities are brand new—we just bought and furnished the unit.

Lanai has an ocean view and a bar area with fridge and sink. 7th floor community area has incredible views and barbecue facilities. Small, upscale complex with pool and plenty of parking.

This property is located in the heart of South Kihei. Grab your groceries at Hawaiian Moons Natural Foods or ABC Stores, get dinner at Fred's Mexican Restaurant, or pick up a shaved ice. Rent snorkels and surfboards. No need to drive, these are all within a five minute walk.

Never contacted the owner. Have stayed at MANY units in this complex. This was by far, the worst one we've experienced. Electrical issues need to be updated IMMEDIATELY. We knew ahead of time that the only way to use the AC was to plug/unplug it. It was running when we arrived. Later we chose to unplug it. When we did, sparks flew out of the outlet (220/240). DANGEROUS!!!! We never attempted to use it again. MANY light switches and fans do not work at all, and some do not work correctly. The patio door AND screen were pretty much inoperable. A woman staying alone in that unit, would not have been able to open nor close them, thereby getting stuck either INSIDE, or OUTSIDE on the lanai. AND, the door falls off of the track. AGAIN, EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. One could VERY easily get their fingers cut off......nope, not exaggerating, when it chooses to fall off track. I would NEVER occupy this unit with children. In fact, I will NEVER occupy this unit again. I truly believe that this unit was very nice at one time. The beds were comfy, the appliances were an upgrade from the other units we've stayed in, although the handle on the freezer door is broken off, making it very difficult to access that compartment, and the furniture was of good quality with the exception of the lanai furniture which is well beyond its lifespan. VRBO, YOU DEFINITELY NEED TO CHECK THIS PROPERTY OUT. YOU'RE TOYING WITH LAWSUITS FROM FUTURE GUESTS. ELECTRICAL, AND PATIO DOOR ISSUES.

Disappointing experience!

Very disappointed! Misleading. NOT “stunning, flawless or recently renovated" as advertised. Frustrating 4 wks. Multiple texts to owner required. 2 wasted days with a repairman with little results. Have rented multiple KBR units past 25 yrs: always positive!! This time, made to feel we were being unreasonable for expecting things to be in working condition. Owner asked us not to post a review if negative! ISSUES: Electrical on lanai shot! Nothing worked: awning, ceiling fan/light. Too hot to sit out 2-6 pm. Glass door very difficult to move: Unable to latch & lock. Screen door on backwards/no handle. Green carpet stayed wet for days after a rain. AC old/rusted/ knobs broken off. Had to crawl under a table each time to plug & unplug! Lanai cabinets warped/ falling apart inside; No BBQ tools/plastic, scratched plates/warped plastic glasses/missing cutlery. Handle broken off freezer door. No written instructions for TV & the many switches on the wall. Bedroom TV unplugged; no batteries in remote; Missing Visio remote so unable use the TV at all. No extra batteries, cleaning clothes,or floor mop. Vacuum was useless: had to borrow one form other renters. Sleeps 6 but no blankets for sofa bed & only 2 beach chairs. Carpets dirty looking, old? Walls badly marked up:could use a Magic eraser cleaning! Bathroom reeked of urine first few days;found plunger in plastic bag in a pool of urine behind toilet. Had to use a bleach spray to keep odor away. Have pics of the above.

Overall, the place was nice, but there were some things that should be addressed. There were many switches that we didn’t know what to do with. the air conditioner was only in the living room, which made the two bedrooms very warm even with the fans going in the evening. It was a bit on the older side, even though it said it had been newly renovated But we enjoyed our stay. When we left, we left the place in pristine condition. I did take videos of when we left.As far as the parking, I think it should be noted that only one vehicle per unit is allowed to park in the complex and we had two vehicles so we had to take one vehicle two blocks over and park it overnight on the street The sliding door is very hard to open and closeAgain, overall, we did enjoy the stay and thank you

Awesome location, great space for family

Great place - few thoughts

Loved the place! Perfect location, so clean, so easy. We tried hard to keep things clean and tidy , which was not hard. Just a few comments for improvement - the sheets were old and pilled- a new set of good cotton sheets works be awesome. Also, there was no soap for showering so we bought that- not a problem. Wishing you the best and thank you for hosting us! Five out of five stars, for sure.

A good stay for a quick visit to Maui

The property was fine for a quick stay. The check-in was smooth and appreciate the prompt communication with Elliott on the delayed check-in due to the cleaners. The lanai seemed to be just the right size for two of us with a "peekaboo" view of water. I can see it could be tight for any party larger than 2 people. The building location is absolutely the best feature... the convenience of walking distance to shops and just across from the Kamaole Beach can't be topped! The beds were comfortable, but the living room seemed a bit cramp for the two of us - nothing that the owner could have done about it as it seems due to the design of the building. One thing that was disappointing was the lack of any beach gears at the unit...no beach chairs, no beach umbrellas, or any beach towels.

Family stay Kamaole Beach Condo

Unit was very clean and newly refurbished, walking distance to several excellent beaches and local shopping/food etc. Plenty of on-premises parking and indoor space for family of 4 with teens. Provided beach chairs, mats, towels, cooler were appreciated, though we could have used another chair (3 provided). Kitchen had adequate pots, pans, cooking utensils and storage containers. Could have used a few more dishes and some larger mixing/serving bowls. It did not have any basic salt/pepper/spices. Master bedroom mattress not comfortable, extremely firm/rock hard!! Unit is on the 2nd floor so view is partially obscured by buildings, advertised photo of the view not quite accurate (but still pretty nice). No AC: an AC unit was present, but the knobs were broken and unusable. We managed with open doors/windows and ceiling fans, was basically tolerable most of the time without AC, though also was more noisy from people at the pool and maintenance work outdoors. Hot water tank on some sort of timer? seemingly random times with no hot water and limited availability when it did work. This needs to be fixed and/or explained if the hot water is to be limited. Check in was easy, owner responded quickly . No check out instructions or any other household/neighborhood guide provided.

Decent rental in great location.

Overall, the condo was sufficient and it's in a great location. Two bedrooms and two clean and nice bathrooms. The view of the ocean is very much obstructed but you can catch glimpses of the ocean, and even with said limited view we spotted some whale activity during our stay mid-March 2022. The listing is very much intentionally misleading in that there is not AC in any room besides the main room, only ceiling fans. The AC unit in the main room is ancient and barely works, with no options for adjusting settings, it's just either on or off. The owner had said that the room with two twin beds could be made up as one large (king sized) bed, but it was not. So we just pushed the two beds together, which was okay but not ideal. The kitchen has sparkling brand new appliances, many of the utensils were still in their packaging and appeared to have never been used. There were sufficient dishes and eating utensils, etc. Overall our stay was pretty good. The situation with the beds was disappointing and the lack of AC in the bedrooms would've been a total deal breaker had I known. Very easy walk to a fantastic beach and multiple convenient amenities. (Shops and restaurants and snorkel gear rentals, etc.) Directions to the place were somewhat confusing. Don't use Google maps with the street address but rather enter the name of the building. (Kamaole Beach Royale) The place itself wasn't bad at all, it was clean and nice and reasonably comfortable. I just felt somewhat lied to about the amenities that I mentioned which was disappointing. I wish AC wasn't a deal breaker for me, but I am very overly sensitive to heat and I really need a reprieve from it in tropical climates. If the wording and communication were slightly improved, I'm sure this would be a great rental for others in the future.
