Mana Kai #203 is Maui Living at its best! We could talk about the ocean and sunset views all day but you won't get it until you experience them for yourself. Situated on the popular grass area at Keawakapu Beach. Take a look out of the lanai slider door for some of the most beautiful ocean and sunset views. During whale season, relax on the lanai and view Humpback whales slapping and breaching just yards off shore. Snorkeling is just a few steps away and you can see sea turtles snacking on the seagrass in the rocks from your private lanai.

The interior of this cozy condo has been lovingly updated while keeping that beachy resort feel. Improvements include bamboo cabinets in the kitchen and hall, stone counters throughout, tiled showers with spacious vanities in both bathrooms, stainless kitchen appliances and ductless AC throughout condo.

The primary bedroom can be left as an open studio or separated from the living area via Shoji pocket doors. You'll find a plush king bed, ceiling fan and lanai access in the main bedroom along with en suite bathroom with walk-in shower. Guest bedroom also features King sized bed, ceiling fan and en suite bathroom. This room also has a desk/work area, television and grand floor-to-ceiling windows for plenty of natural light.

The kitchen is fully stocked with all you will need for meals at home: silverware, serving utensils, pots, pans, plateware, blender for smoothies and frozen drinks, toaster and coffee maker just to name a few items.

The resort atmosphere includes an oceanfront pool, 4 propane BBQs, onsite coin/credit card operated laundry facilities on each floor, a fitness center, 808 Deli and General Store, and open-air dining and full bar at the ground floor Restaurant coming late 2025. You can also rent beach gear and bikes at the Surf Shack Maui, conveniently located on the ground floor.

The full dining restaurant on property will be closed for renovations until late 2024-early 2025. Renovations have been delayed. When they commence, there may be noise heard from 8 am-5 pm, Monday thru Friday. We do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you and appreciate your understanding.

Please be aware that all Mana Kai units feature a primary bedroom that is an ''open concept'' and is not closed off from the living room area. This particular unit has installed sliding shutter doors for added privacy.

While we strive to keep all photos up to date, there may be new and updated pieces of furniture or decor that are different than in the original pictures. The functionality, available seating and sleeping space will remain the same or may improve.

Mana Kai will continue construction and maintenance effective immediately, including essential concrete repairs near the lobby and restrooms, as well as preparations for the new Beach House at Mana Kai restaurant by Handcrafted Restaurants (Peter Merriman, known for Monkeypod Kitchen, Merriman’s, and others). While we do not have a full schedule or end date yet, work will take place on weekdays from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with no activity on weekends or holidays. Guests may experience some noise and temporary restroom closures during this time. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to welcoming you.

Mana Kai is a beautiful property with a front row location on the most beautiful beach, so close you can almost feel the crashing of the waves. As a couple, we used only the front bedroom and the bed was super comfy. Plenty of everything for our stay and we so appreciated the starter kit (with coffee!) when we arrived. We didn't need to use the sofa bed so can't attest to that, but the sofa's lifespan may have been exceeded, according to my other half who said it was uncomfortable. There were a few maintenance issues to be addressed (missing handle on screen exposing sharp screws, toilet in 203A wasn't flushing without assistance, no TV in 203B, etc.) but for the most part small inconveniences easily overlooked for the beauty of the location and comfort of this unit. A couple of recommendations: a bigger TV for 203A and some lanai chair cushions like those shown in the photos. Of note: We noticed some locals bring their 5 little dogs early every morning to do their doo on the public lawn, so be sure not to lay directly on the grass, folks. Gross.

Overall, we had a nice stay at the Mana Kai. You can’t beat the location right on Keawakapu beach and don’t even get me started on the sunsets! The pool, chairs to use on the grass and other accommodations around were great.This particular condo does seem to need some attention and small updates are needed. We traveled with my 15 month old granddaughter and wouldn’t say that this condo is kid friendly. Between the big heavy doors, glass tables and carpet that needs some attention it was hard to let her wander. We did find an unused cigarette underneath the main bed in the living room, used ZYN pouches under the bed in the private bedroom as well as empty water bottles. There is a mold like substance on the bathroom door going into the bathroom off the living room. The knife drawer is also way too accessible for small kids. Not ideal for having a 15month old crawling around. It’s unfortunate you pay such a big cleaning fee to feel like unsanitary things could have been taken care of.

Perfect location on the beach

Decent accommodations with a perfect beach location and access. The property was a bit dated and undergoing some renovation work while we were there, but overall a positive experience. I would definitely consider staying at the property again if visiting this area.

Loved this place!

The location was awesome. Access to beach-it was right outside the door. The pool was perfect too. The unit was clean and in good condition. Yes, there are a couple small paint repairs needed on the walls and the carpet could use an upgrade, but it was clean and these things did not cause any issues. The bed was comfortable. The balcony was amazing with its views over the ocean. We could not have been happier and would stay here again.

Felt Like Locals!

Best location, Best beach! We felt like locals in the know here. Walking South and Walking North along the beach brought adventure and beauty every day. Uber & Lyft rides to shopping centers are short and cheap from this location. You can walk to the Boat Docks where some of the snorkel trips load and unload from. (We went on the Express Molokini by Blue Water Rafters. Highly recommend!) Also next to the boat dock there is a secret cove where every eening we saw sea turtles resting. We kept a safe and careful distance from them of course. Loved this unit! Having a separate rooms from our kids was sooooo worth it!

This unit at the Mana Kai was a very pleasant place to spend our Maui Vacay. The location of the Mana Kai is amazing. Away from car traffic, very close to Turtle Traffic. We were disappointed to arrive late at night and find our bedroom floor carpet soaking wet and so so smelly. There were small industrial fans working to dry out the carpet. Nobody came to pick up the fans and they stayed in our room for the duration. We were also unaware of the construction going on in the restaurant below. The Five Palms is definitely gone! As is the small convenience store that was once located on the main floor. The dumpster for all renos was directly below the entrance to our room.
