Our worst rental experience ever!! When we arrived, it was clear the cottage had not not prepared for us. Snow from a storm four weeks earlier had not been shoveled, meaning we had to walk across snow and ice to enter - I nearly fell trying to get inside. Once inside, there were live bugs in both the bathroom and kitchen, the air felt stale, and overall cleanliness was severely lacking. Laundry had not been completed and the master bedroom bedspread was stained and torn. Again, there was zero preparation for our arrival! The owner wanted us to wait while they called a cleaning crew, I guess 4 weeks wasn’t long enough for them to prepare for our arrival. This experience completely ruined our Valentine’s Day weekend and reflected a serious lack of customer service. We have asked Vrbo to review the property, as we do not feel it meets expected standards. There is nothing charming about this cottage, we walked away and won't ever go back to the cottage or their winery.
