A beautiful and unique B & B. We had a beautiful room with a free standing bath. Beautifully decorated throughout. There were a lot of stairs.. so if that’s not for you.. be aware! Parking was tight but manageable. We did walk home from town, but it was a bit of a hike after a long day. Staff were lovely and breakfast was wonderful.

This quaint property was within walking distance of Windermere. There is also a bus you can catch just around the corner. Our room was clean and well appointed but only had a bath which my husband struggled with. The breakfast was adequate and served by a bright and friendly lady. Check in could have been better by offering some additional information regarding the bus service to town and maybe some suggestions of things to do in the area or good restaurants to eat at. Overall a great stay, thank you.

Room 8

Rum Doodle was almost everything we could of asked for. Was a beautiful building with off road parking available. It was located half way between the busy lakeside and the top of Windermere. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was a great way to start the day. The only issue we had was in room 8, that we had booked, the bathtub was in the corner of the bedroom. This was against the slanted ceiling, which made showering impossible. This was not mentioned in the room description, otherwise we would have selected a different room.
