Lovely hotel, just a few things…

Our room was nice, but really needs a bit of a makeover, especially the bathroom, the shower screen is full of limescale and mould, the same around the bath, window-seal has paint flaked off. Mattress is very soft, I had back ache half way through the night and the pillows are also very soft. The pillows were very stained and only 3 of the pillows had cases on. The nets on the window were ripped in a few places aswell. The hotel is in a fantastic position, breakfast was lovely, car park was full but the castle street car park is a 5 min walk and so much cheaper, only cost £15 from 2pm until 11am

Very nice, clean and comfortable room on the 1st floor at the front of the hotel overlooking the High Street. The double glazing meant we could enjoy the location while not being troubled by noise from the street. Great service from all the staff and a wonderful choice on the breakfast menu.

Anniversary stay

Me & my wife stayed in the Fabulous Suite for our 35th wedding anniversary. This was the second time in the same room. It does not disappoint, with lovely king size bed, separate lounge as well as the spectacular terrace with comfy sofas & Cathedral views. Great Summer Grill dinner & a superb cooked breakfast. Get stay, attentive staff.

Lovely room and breakfast in the morning. Staff were friendly. Room was a little hot and bed too soft for my liking, but it was clean, quiet and spacious. Close to the Catherdral and Theatre. Nice range of restaurants close by too. Would definitely book again.

Thus is a charming, old hotel in the center of Canterbury. The breakfast is excellent. Reception staff was not welcoming. Service in the bar was awful and prices exorbitant.
