We had an acceptable experience for the two nights we stayed. However the hotel is VERY dated, but they do their best to keep it clean and comfortable. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. It says it’s currently under renovation but there’s no sign of any visible updates or updated rooms, and the restaurant on site is closed. The noise level is medium with train tracks nearby, car & boat noise, and the pool if you have a room overlooking the marina. And being on the river amplifies those sounds so if you’re a light sleeper bring earplugs. The Clover Island strip itself is lovely with a walking path, brewery and restaurant. If/when the hotel completes a total renovation we would consider staying again, but in general it was an adequate place to sleep.

Turns out that after a year this hotel is still in the middle of a renovation. Used to be a great choice for a stay. I'm sure it will be again once the renovations are complete.

It is a nice property in a beautiful location along the river. We paid for a riverview room but it was on the first floor and really dark; we were only there a night so didn't say anything but not really a superior room. Took off a star because early in the morning, they wouldn't open the lobby restrooms (my husband didn't want to come back in and wake me up) and breakfast didn't open on time, leading to a huge line when it did open.

Disappointed & Expensive

The hotel was dated but going through a renovation. Hotel.com did not mention that the restaurant was closed so I had to order food in which was very disappointing. The refrigerator didn't keep my leftovers cold so I had to throw them out. They do not have comforters or heavy blanks on the bed so I was chilly all night because my daughter was hot so we didn't turn up the heat. Even with all that I tried to keep a positive attitude, however, their "full" breakfast just made the whole stay a joke. It was biscuits & tasteless gravy and some dry food. Even their juice were little single serving containers like you use to get in elementary school. There were no eggs or sausage at all. Many less expensive hotels have much better breakfasts. It was definitely not worth the $150 I paid. I would not recommend this hotel.

Good location, but dated facilities

The location is really the reason to stay here. We had a great view of the Columbia and the Cable Bridge. They are renovating, but most of the hotel hasn't been updated yet. I would suggest upgraded toilets (ours kept running unless we jiggled the handle) and mattresses, as well as new bathroom fans and HVAC units. On the plus side, water pressure was great. Overall, it was clean and pleasant.
