Ball game

The breakfast was great. The ice machine didn't have ice. The tv didn't work very good until they fixed it. The location was perfect for the Royals ballpark.

Location is excellent. We only stayed here for the location to the stadium and ability to park and walk over. The property is not maintained. We waited over an hour to check in. Would still stay again if our primary purpose is to go to a sporting event and nightlife as we only need the room to sleep. If we were going to spend anytime at the hotel, would spend the money to stay downtown.

Breakfast was not a true continental breakfast as it is made to seem. They had all three hot breakfast holders filled with uncrustables. It was very disappointing. Rooms are outdated but do the job for a short overnight stay while on a road trip.

If you're going to the Royals game at Kauffman Stadium, and possibly the Chiefs game, this looks to be your best bet for walking to the Stadium. The hotel is dated, but clean, and boasts a free breakfast. The 15 minute walk isn't too bad (assuming you're able to walk up/down a fan created dirty path on a grassy hill) since you'll be back to the hotel before most people get out of the parking lot. That said, if you check in on a game day, expect a lot of delays. The staff tried, but they weren't set up for success with the way people are checked in or how efficiently the computers worked. As frustrating as it was, I felt bad for the staff who patiently had to deal with a lot of things outside of their control, including annoyed guests.

It was clean and the bed was comfortable. I never figured out how the tv worked. Breakfast was fair. No waffles or fresh fruit, but the pastries were good.

Not worth the cost

Room odor was terrible. Cleanliness was poor, still leftovers in fridge and empty water bottles on floor from previous occupants. Airconditioner was so poor there was a box fan on top of it to circulate air. Only one elevator worked and not well.

There was only cold food available and very limited. Plain white bread, no bread variety or bagels. Instant, plain oatmeal. Fruits were going bad. Very disappointed, considering the cost. Have intense scent infusers through out. Don’t stay here if you have any type of breathing disorders.

I was in town for the ballgame. It's one of the closest hotels to Kaufman Stadium. I think the issue was that they had a 4pm checkin, and many were showing up around that time with plans to head over to the ballpark. I don't recall ever seen such a long check-in line. This was the case for my Thursday arrival. When I went out for the day on Friday, I was dismayed to see the long line again that evening, especially when needing to return to the front desk because my room key had been deactivated (both the one in my pocket and the one in the room). The staff were very friendly, but needed to help move the line along. Breakfast was dry, coffee was cold. Just not that great. But, the price worked, and the proximity to the ballpark were huge selling points.

Enjoyed the stay. Front desk was super nice. Outdated hotel but still worked for the area. Front parking area needs to be fixed but the back/side parking was good. Enjoyed the stay and a fairly short walk to Kauffman stadium. Highway is close so you will get some noise overnight. Will consider staying again.

I will never, and would never stay in this place again. It will never be recommended. It was dirty, the electric front door was broken and laying against the other glass pain as you enter. Roaches in the public bathroom, no toilet paper in the bathroom, hair all over the bathroom sink.The fake spiral plant was uprooted and laying halfway out of the pot on its side. At night, they had a big screen TV loud in the lobby full of people screaming at it up until 11 PM. It took nine phone calls to get to the front desk. The in phone wouldn’t work and couldn’t contact them. Had to use my cell phone and call the 800 number. Whoever owns and runs this place should get out of the hospitality business. what a pigsty.
