I must say that this hotel has gone down over the years in maintenance. Our room had water damage on the ceiling and peeling wallpaper on the walls. The furniture was needing some TLC and the entire hotel/casino smelled of smoke. THERE WAS NO HOUSEKEEPING FOR THE 4 NIGHTS WE STAYED THERE! Are we back in Covid times?? I had to ask for fresh towels everyday we were there. The only positive is the location to the city and the bed was actually comfortable. Food options were poor since they are doing renovations to pretty much all of the restaraunts. I've stayed there in the past, but will not stay there again.

My room was on the 7th floor. It was very quiet, despite the hotel being full (Saturday night before the Chiefs game the following day). Check-in was very easy, and staff was friendly. After booking, I went back and thoroughly read all the horror comments about the hotel’s aging amenities and lack of cleanliness, so I was expecting the worst. To be honest, it was a great night’s stay. The bed was very comfy and clean, as was the shower, sink, and toilet. The shower was pretty amazing, although the handle to adjust the temp needs replaced because it was very hard to turn, but I managed to adjust it. There was no tv remote that I could find, which wasn’t a big deal because I had my iPad to watch a show on before going to sleep. For a Saturday night stay, I paid around $300. I thought that was a little pricey given the aging amenities, but what hotel in and around KC isn’t expensive on a Saturday. Overall, it was nice and I was pleased. But as others say, there is room for improvement.
