Good service by reception staff.Very understanding

The hotel was average but probably the best 4 star in the area that is walkable to the temple. Special mention to the reception staff who facilitated an early check-in - this was much appreciated as I was travelling with a 2 year old which helped with his feeding and rest after a long train journey from Colombo in the morning.

**Ramada Inn Colombo International Airport – Review** I recently stayed at the Ramada Inn near Colombo International Airport and had a generally pleasant experience. The hotel is conveniently located for easy access to the airport, though the surrounding area is quiet and lacks much to do, making it ideal for those looking for a peaceful stopover. The hotel staff were truly exceptional. They went out of their way to ensure I had everything I needed, always with a warm and friendly attitude. Despite the hotel being on a budget, the staff’s dedication to providing excellent service really stood out, and I was very appreciative of their efforts. The hotel itself is a bit dated, and the buildings show signs of age. Some areas could use renovation to bring them up to modern standards, but it didn’t detract too much from my stay. The rooms were still comfortable and well-maintained, and the cleanliness was impressive. One of the highlights of my stay was the food. The restaurant offered a wonderful selection, and I was especially pleased with the French entrees, which were a pleasant surprise. I didn’t try the buffet, but the à la carte menu was delicious, reasonably priced, and well-prepared. Overall, while the Ramada Inn Colombo could benefit from some updates, the exceptional service from the hotel staff and the great food made my stay enjoyable and comfortable.

In many ways, a standard business hotel--but one in an exotic and interesting location. My room was fine, but the views of the lake and the hills/mountains opposite were really nice. Just be sure to keep your sliding doors locked: there really are monkeys and they really can get onto your balcony -- even though that looks impossible at first! I originally booked a three night stay, which I ended up extending a couple days. The general manager and staff worked hard to keep me in the same room and set up a day tour to Sigiriya and Dambulla (and I added an elephant safari). I'm sure I paid a bit more by going through the hotel, but the driver/guide they found me was excellent. The hotel has some good eating options and there is an excellent pizza place just a bit further up the hill. The location is great: a short walk down to the lake and maybe 15 minutes further into the city center, an enjoyable lakeside hike. Overall, a very solid choice in Kandy.

Very comfortable stay. Great views over Kandy. WiFi access was poor. Swimming pool has only 10 loungers, despite the hotel having many rooms over 3 floors. This hotel is used extensively by tour groups, during one day of our stay 8 coaches arrived. This impacts on housekeeping services and the 2 available lifts.

This propert is excellent,breakfast is very filling and variety was offered,the room temperature seems to be set at 24c when adjusted it defaults to 24c,the temperature out side was 33c,highly recommend this hotel .roof top was great.

Dining in is difficult everyday at least two large tourist coaches - so meals are not relaxed and intimate. The pool is tiny. Watch out for the musicians upstairs and getting locked in to tips. Otherwise staff were friendly, polite and helpful.
