I had a generally comfortable stay at the Best Western in Merritt. The room was quiet, the bed was comfortable, and the bedding was clean and pleasant, which made for a good night’s sleep. Overall, the room itself met expectations and was a nice place to rest.
Unfortunately, the breakfast experience was disappointing. Most of the hot food I tried was barely warm, which really took away from the meal. On top of that, I was lectured by the breakfast attendant for closing the serving trays. I understand the intention was to prevent the food from becoming soggy, but it was frustrating to be told this when the food was already cold. A bit more attention to food temperature and guest experience at breakfast would go a long way.
If the breakfast service improves, this would be a solid and convenient place to stay, as the rooms themselves were quiet and comfortable.
