Comfortable desert bungalow a stones throw away from the park
The location of this rental is so close to the north park entrance- making Joshua tree extremely accessible. Being able to leave the park midday, have a comfy home to have lunch in while enjoying desert and mountain views, and then go back to the park, was a huge plus. The town of Joshua tree is quirky and authentic! The home is clean with very comfortable beds, and has a shady outdoor patio right off the main room, with a beautiful vista. The sunrises here are spectacular.Finishes look nice but are a bit flimsy. Outdoor seating on the patio could be more comfortable. The pool ladder is very rusty with chunks of paint peeling off the rungs, and looked like a cut foot waiting to happen. The owner reassured us that this was in the process of being recoated within a week, but judging from its appearance it has been this way for a while. You might want to check to ensure this has been fixed before booking, especially if you have kids who are excited about using a pool. Overall, a cozy comfortable stay giving you remarkably close access to one of the most spectacular national parks.
