We had an amazing time at our family get together. There were 10 of us (7 adults; 3 kids), and we had MORE than enough room.
First off, the owner of the property Vince Davis, is the absolute best host ever. We read this in prior reviews, and each and every review, was spot on. He was more than accommodating to anything we needed, or questions we had.
When we first arrived, he gave us a tour of the home. This house is so large, you really need one b/c the rooms just keep flowing into one another. The house is wired for music via Alexa and each room has a volume control. Vince patiently showed us where the switches were for Alexa/remotes/ceiling fans/AC, etc., which was super helpful.
The house itself is just exquisite. Every room is larger than the next! All bedrooms are suites w/adjoining bathrooms, so no one argued over who got which room. Beds were super comfortable too. There is a full size laundry room; theatre room, pool table, two large balconies (one with a jacuzzi/hot tub); large screen TVs in every room, including the balcony, huge dining room, a beautiful kitchen, which is stocked full of everything - TONS of dishes, pots/pans, griddle, toaster, coffee maker, blender, tons of cookware/dishes, large coolers for drinks; and a fire pit out back, which we used on one of the cool nights - you name it, the house has it.
The house is right on the river and in addition to the beautiful scenery, we were able to hang out on rafts all day, while others fished. In addition to the house being equipped with rafts and fishing poles, Vince even has a machine to blow up the rafts! He really thought of everything.
Also, many places to eat right up the road - lots of fast food places, in addition to an Applebee's and a really good Italian Restaurant, the Black Olive. There is also a Dollar General, Super Wal-Mart, Publix and Food City. My birthday was 6/24, so my husband was able to order a birthday cake from Publix, which is our go to grocery in Florida.
Everyone had an amazing time. If your looking for a fun getaway - this is the place. It's secluded, yet close to everything, if that makes sense. Aside from your toiletries, you really don't need to pack much.
Vince, thank you so much for allowing us to share your beautiful property, which allowed us to create really fun memories with our family. We are already trying to put another trip together for us to all come back!
