Very good stay. Friendly and courteous staff and servers. Excellent breakfast- variety of food is good and a great way to start a trip into SA. Room clean, comfortable and no issues. Easy check in and out. Will stay there again.

Had a 17 hour layover in Johannesburg and this was such a great option! So convenient and connected to the airport and very clear signage to reach the hotel. I was also very impressed with the facilities, the rooms are so spacious and beds are so comfortable!

I usually get a day room at City Lodge Hotel on my way out of Joburg. I choose them because they typically have a good online rate for an overnight stay. The hotel is massive - you could easily walk 15 mins to your room if it is at the far end of the footprint. The staff is always lovely and my room and bathroom were very clean and updated this trip. They have also upgraded their hair dryers in the wing where I was. Since I was only there for a few hours, I was grateful they put me in a room that was close to reception. The room is basic and everything you need from a quick stay or day room.

We stayed there on two separate occasions. The location could not be better- connected to the terminal albeit a bit of a walk. Breakfast buffet and restaurant well done in a bright airy environment. Highly recommend

Must stay for all three times was pretty decent – I felt service in the restaurants were very slow and sometimes not at all quick – many times I had to get up and get my own coffee or walk and find the waitress in order to pay so I could leave, but the food was very good. I truly enjoyed my stay and when I come back to Johannesburg, I will be staying at city Lodge.

The staff in the hotel are so friendly & helpful it is only 5 minutes walk to the hotel from the airport if you get lost there is staff along the way to guide you don’t worry it’s easy access, the hotel is excellent and the food and drinks reasonably priced.
