Just 2 miles from Smugglers’ Notch, the Charming Vermont Log Cabin is an easy, comfortable basecamp for families and friends who want adventure by day and cozy evenings at home.
Wake up, make breakfast in the fully equipped kitchen, and head out—skiing, hiking, disc golf, canoeing, or exploring the village. When you get back, toss gear straight into the in-unit washer and dryer, light the gas fireplace, and relax. Wi-Fi is strong if you need it, but the fire, porch swing, and quiet woods tend to steal the show.

The cabin sleeps up to six in three bedrooms. The main floor has a queen bedroom, a second bedroom with two single beds, and a full bathroom. Upstairs, the third bedroom offers a queen bed and a private ensuite—perfect for a little extra privacy. Each bedroom has its own AC unit for summer comfort.

Outside, enjoy outdoor dining, a gas grill, and a firepit with seating for six—great for evenings under the stars. Dogs are welcome, because trips are better with your best trail buddy.
You’re 2mile from Smugglers’ Notch, minutes from a wedding barn, and close to family-friendly restaurants, a grocery store, and a few hiking trail options nearby.

In winter (date varies depending on weather) the direct route over the mountain between the log cabin and Stowe is closed. The drive around is approximately 50 minutes.

Nice cabin, very comfortable, plenty of towels, great communications, etc. they even provided a pet basket for use at the house (blanket, bags, towel for cleaning paws, etc). Our only dislike was the smell of the water (well water). Overall our stay was great. Thank you.

The cabin was superb, cozy and homey. The cabin was as neat as a pin. Lots of room to hang out. Beautifully furnished. All appliances worked flawlessly. Dishes and utensils were complete. An abundance of towels. Clean and serviceable bathrooms. Even when I think very hard, there is not a single thing I could fault. I will be back to Jeffersonville and this is the place to which I will return.

Great spot - close to Smugglers Notch and Stowe. Took advantage of great bike trails in the immediate area and in Burlington. Even though a bit north of Stowe, great restaurants and drinking places close by. Cabin was plenty big for 4 adults and two small dogs. Mountains were beautiful and such a deep green color! We did have a big adult bear greet us as we unpacked our car. Nearby homeowners have seen him many times before and made us feel safe, but did double checked the area when we went out. Didn't see the bear again over the next 4 days.

Charming comfort

Thanksgiving Get Together

We had a great stay! Just 3 of us played board games, sat by the fire, watched TV, explored the area. We went to Lot 6, the brewery just a mile away, which was fantastic. The house was perfect for us. The kitchen is very well equipped. Beds were comfortable. Shower had excellent water pressure. The house may be a bit tight for 6 people, but could make it work. We would definitely rent again.

Charming indeed!!!

It’s quaint and charming cabin. Our first time to Vermont, seeing the colors and Stowe. Great location. Beds were very comfortable. Everything was nice and clean. Easy to find and check in. Maude was quick to communicate and gave recommendations that were helpful. A welcoming gift of pancake mix and Vermont maple syrup was waiting on the counter for us. I would definitely stay again and would recommend Maude’s place.
