I saw this property reviewed as “quirky” and I would propose a more appropriate description to be that this property is full of character, well loved and thoughtfully appointed, completely unlike most other properties, and comfortable. We would stay here again for sure.

The property was nice and very quiet. We did not know the 2 restaurants were closed on the night we chose to stay and we had to get Olli brand packaged charcuterie (from the tasting room) as we wanted to stay on the property for the night. The wine tasting was very nice with a large selection. The property is aging but the room was nice with a huge, soft, comfortable king bed. Next time I think we will stay closer to Williamsburg for the variety of choices of entertainment.

This place is so wonderfully unique with all of the antique furniture and layout of the building! Although unused due to the season, there was a fireplace in the bedroom. We enjoyed our lunch in the courtyard beside the fountain. We had a wine tasting experience, and an evening swim in the beautiful outdoor pool. I would definitely come back here again!

Stay was excellent. One suggestion. Should consider adding a step stool for elderly folks to use while attempting to get in bed. Our bed was extremely comfortable but difficult for people with back and knee pain to climb in the bed.

Overall, our stay was pleasant. The staff were extremely hospitable and warm. The hotel lobby looked tired and there were cobwebs in every corner. I would suggest brightening it up and making it look more refined and welcoming. We stayed in the large suite which was beautiful but lacking in many areas. This room could really be special if it was maintained. The walls were flaking and the air conditioning units in the ceiling were full of black mold. Paint carpets and sofas had crumbs and did not seemed to be cleaned properly. I understand the hotel is historically themed which is part of its charm, but maintaining it with repairs to the flaking paint and cleanliness of overall space would make it truly special.

Beautiful Stay in Catalonia

The rooms are beautifully decorated, the bed was comfortable and it had a very nice shower. The pool areas really nice, and the complimentary breakfast was good. It would have been nice to have a small refrigerator or an ice dispenser in hotel. There is no real option to store leftover food or cold drinks.

The service and food at breakfast could have been better. Also there is no fridge (helpful to know if you need one), coffee maker was not functional or I couldn't get it to work. Other than that, the property is lovely. The winery and free wine was amazing. I cannot wait to come back in the winter.

The inn was well decorated & set the tone of a small English inn. The room, especially the bathroom, wasn’t very clean with some mildew stains. The bed was fairly comfortable. The pool was nice but needs some patio maintenance. Breakfast was light with restrictive coffee service. The property was fine. I would probably not stay there again.

The setting and overall ambiance of this European style hotel is really nice. Room decor and public spaces are well done, especially the library and the pool. Breakfast was very good with some variety daily and accommodating staff. Our room didn’t have the coffeemaker but there was a Keurig outside the breakfast area for 24/7 use. The winery itself really is the attraction with the complimentary wine flights very generous and lots of fun. The Brittany room (3) needs reworking of the bathroom with its tiny corner sink that no adult could possibly use easily. A vanity or cabinet with a real sink would be a thoughtful improvement. Enjoyed the stay.

We had a lovely stay at Wedmore Place. Staff was really nice, room was spacious, loved the free bottle of wine and wine tasting and also loved the free breakfast. Pool was nice, too. Only thing we weren’t fans of was that the sofa bed was terrible. Definitely they need to replace as you could feel the springs through it.
