I booked two rooms in January—six months in advance—expecting them to be close together. Unfortunately, not only were they not near each other, but both were located right next to the road (Rooms 301 and 401), which made for a very noisy stay. To their credit, after I expressed my disappointment, the manager did call a couple of hours later offering to switch us to rooms that were closer together. I appreciated the follow-up, even though it came after we had already started settling in. The rooms themselves were clean, which we did appreciate. While there were some frustrating aspects to the experience, the customer service response and cleanliness were positives.

The toilet did not work when we entered the room. A service man came and fixed the toilet. However, the toilet continued not to work throughout our stay. In addition, the shower backed up and there was standing water the next morning when we shower before we left.

The office staff are rude and don’t help the visitors. Requests are ignored then when you go to the office to pick up the item they were supposed to bring to the room they say they forgot. They were also rude when we asked if our room was available. Came back at check in time and rude again. No thank you not have a nice day not anything. We said it to her just to make a point. Get some training on the front desk cause ppl don’t have to stay there. I won’t again. Secondly, the floors are uneven and you can’t turn around in the bathroom. What mattered more to me was the poor attitude and service.

Expensive motel-like hotel next to the road. soundproofing terrible, coffeemachine broken. Not worth the price. Make sure you get a room upstairs. Outside pool was great and nice and warm.

Mountain Modern was a very nice, renovated hotel. The beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was spacious. I really liked that the hotel had several gathering spots for guests - inside and outside (some with gas firepits) the large property. The walking proximity to beautiful Jackson is great too! We were only a couple blocks from the city park, and the downtown bars, restaurants, and shops. I highly recommend this hotel.
