That’s not a 5 stars, maybe a 3.5. The room wasn’t clean and the opening hours of restaurants and convenience store was to short.

Beware...We didn't know when we checked in (being from very far away) that the amenities that enticed us were only available in the Bayside area. We were located in the Oceanside. It was older and needed updates and repairs. There was nowhere to sit or dine outdoors, even though we traveled far to be in a tropical environment. Since we were unhappy with the accommodations, they offered us an upgrade to the Bayside area for one night-our last night there. This last night was the most enjoyable time we had there. It was very beautiful and comfortable. The beach at the resort is not worth visiting, so if that is important to you, know that you will need to find somewhere else to enjoy a beach experience. We went on a fishing tour and a snorkeling tour which were fantastic. I also took advantage of the spa on location. It was a nice experience. Our party included children teens and adults.
The hotel is beautiful and well located on the beachfront. We had a stunning view. The room was spacious, clean and beautiful.
The only thing we were very disappointed in was the poor level of English in the reception area. It was painful and at times impossible to inquire about anything. They have a service app that was helpful with most things but when it wasn’t working or it wasn’t a simple matter and you have to go through reception it is very difficult.
Overall, our stay at ANA was a delight. Breakfast options were plentiful and upscale (especially the Japanese offering) and service was always friendly and top-notch. My only suggestion would be to have a small section of the pool reserved for adults-only, as I felt the property was more so geared towards children (all three pools) and less towards adults/couples looking to relax.
We decided to upgrade to a club benefits room which was a great experience. We really enjoyed breakfast, tea time and happy hour. The resort is beautiful and the pool was heated. My husband did a round of golf which he enjoyed. The only con was free weights in weight room only go to 10kg.
One of the greatest hotels we've ever stayed at. We cannot wait to return. I recommend people stay in the Coral Wing and/or in an upgraded room-- these rooms are beautiful and designed incredibly intelligently. Separate sink and make up area outside of the bathroom so great for people who are grooming themselves whilst the bathroom is in use by a travel partner. Gorgeous lighting design, huge TV, wonderful views, terrific swimming pool which is actually open AT NIGHT too! There's a beach you can feel safe swimming in, great parking and helpful staff. Just book a stay here, it's a fantastic hotel. We can't wait to go back next year.
Dining- Poor food handling and/or preparation. We decided to dine at the Saltida (dinner buffet) and as a result we both suffered from a fairly violent food poisoning.
It was necessary to extend an extra day as there was just no way we would be able to physically fly out the next day. In addition to this, communication between management and front desk was near to non existent. The hotel did compensate for the meal but made no effort/offer to cover the extra night stay, despite the fact that their restaurant was at fault. I must recognize the restaurant manager as he was the only individual that checked on us and provided water/fruit.
Wonderful hotel. We really enjoyed our stay. Convenient location. Indoor pool is very warm in the winter so you can swim even if it’s not warm enough for the outdoor pool. I would definitely stay here again.
Fantastic stay at this property. Stay in the renovated Bay Wing building if you can swing it. Staff were fantastic, very welcoming and attentive. The breakfast at Saltida was worth it, with dishes ranging from steamed pork buns, wood fired beef to pastries and fresh fruit. Some fun cafes and restaurants within walking distance, too. Saw a loggerhead sea turtle and puffer fish while snorkeling in the roped off area of the beach. Would return in a heartbeat.
The response from the front desk (Ms. Kudo) and the tour concierge desk was excellent. I would definitely like to stay at this hotel again when I visit Ishigaki Island.
Amazing staff, helpful to the fullest! When out of their way to accommodate and make recommendations. The resort is beautiful and very clean. Has many dining options and beautiful views of the ocean. I will definitely stay here again! Thank you for an amazing experience.
It is my first time coming to Ishigaki in Okinawa. Japanese service obviously is top notch. But ANA Intercontinental Ishigaki Resort service is just something else. A big shout out to Miki at the front desk of the Bay Wing where we were at. Our flight was 8am and taxi typically don’t operate that early to take us to the airport. Miki just relentlessly calling for us and proactively suggested to get two taxi instead of a big one such that we can get to the airport as fast as possible. All other staffs were awesome also. Room is superb. Food was great. The pool and beach facilities are amazing. I will definitely come back again!!!
