One night stay

We booked it as it was dog friendly as it was. The bed was very comfortable and the facilitates adequate. The room only had very small windows so there was very little ventilation and it was very difficult to sleep. We found a fan which was of some help however, the dog did get stressed.

Good place to stay overnight for Eurotunnel travel

Well situated hotel on the sea front with easy walk into town. Ideal stopover for travellers on Eurotunnel which is only a short drive away.

Great budget hotel

Really friendly welcome at reception and we quickly got our keys for two twin rooms. The rooms were fine, clean and comfortable. We used the hotel to stay overnight before a Channel Tunnel crossing which was just 10 minutes away. It was the cheapest hotel that I could find in the area and exceeded my expectations. The decor was improved from the hotel's appearance on Channel 4's "4 In A Bed" a few years previous. Slightly disappointed that they don't offer breakfast, but Gingers in Hythe was excellent.

Cheap but you get what you pay for

Friendly staff but a very tired hotel in need of decoration. The room smelt stale, which made it unpleasant. We had the family room which was on two levels, with the bathroom on the upper level - this was actually dangerous as the door leading out of the bathroom led almost directly onto a staggered staircase so there was a real risk of stumbling down the stairs. The car park was full of rubbish and unsecured and my car was covered in a sticky liquid (probably lager) when we left in the morning.

Good value for money and an excellent location on the sea front. However the hotel and the room are tired and could do with renovation. Room was clean and bed quite comfy. For the money it was fine.

This is a great hotel to stay in. Right on the beach, parking, lovely staff and clean rooms. As an added bonus we had a fab seaview too. Sue who works on Reception could not have been more helpful and friendly. Great value, great service, great location, great hotel
