Upon arrival, we were informed that there was no running water or electricity, but were told both would be restored within the hour. However, an hour passed and nothing had changed. The cabin was extremely humid and dark, with no running or flushing water. Electricity and water were finally restored at 7:20 PM.
The next morning, while having breakfast, both utilities went out again at 9:00 AM. We checked out at noon, and the power and water were still not back. I requested a refund, as the bare necessities were not available during our stay. I was told that refunds could not be issued, but was given a partial refund of my breakfast bill—$600 pesos (approximately $30 USD).
It seems like this may be a recurring issue during the rainy season.
