Felt stuffy and humid in the room despite the AC running. Also, at night, the AC would automatically turn off after a couple hours. It did not turn back on when it got hot inside. I had to get up after i had been awaken due to the heat.

Layout of the room was great. It was so close to the hospitals. It said breakfast was included, but it was coffee and a packaged muffin. That’s it. Everything was clean, but I saw two roaches in the bathroom.

Not as advertised.
Had two rooms. The “new” room the AC did not work the night we got there. Next morning we were able to get a different room where the AC worked but there was no shower curtain. The elevator didn’t work the first night but was fixed by the afternoon the next day. The front desk people were very helpful in the whole process. Was booked because it said they offered breakfast, but they really don’t. It is a grab-n-go breakfast which consisted of a nutragrain bar, prepackaged muffins and no juice. The HPD officer that was there on his part-time the first night, was higher than a kite which doesn’t really make you feel better. In general, it was just way more run down than the pictures had lead one to believe. It was very quiet at night which was nice.
It’s a nice room with a kitchenette. It would have been nice if there was two chairs to sit at the table. We couldn’t figure out how to use the shower because there wasn’t an attachment to turn it on. It’s nice that it’s not far from the hospitals. A shuttle service would be great.

Be Prepared for No Amenities In Room
We will not stay there again. We got there about 10:00 p.m. and were super tired. No one was at the front desk and no one came out for 5 or 6 minutes -- that was only after yelling rather loudly, "Is anyone here?" When we got to our room and went to brush our teeth, we discovered there were no drinking glasses in the room and no much toilet paper in the bathroom. We tried to call the front desk, after letting the phone ring for several minutes we finally gave up. But, during that time we did find a piece of paper saying that those items could be picked up at the front desk. So back to the front desk I went. The attendant was very put out that she had been bothered. So, back to the room with the necessary items to discover the room's TV had no remote. Since it was late, we just skipped TV. The bed was decent and the A/C worked well -- thank goodness. The attendant had told us when we checked in they served a grab and go breakfast which we had not idea what that meant. We found out when went down to eat. There were some nutritional bars and some kind of prepackaged muffins. They were not good quality. There we 3 containers of coffee. We will not stay at that chain again. We chose it because it was very close to the MD Anderson Clinic. Next time we will chose a better chain even it we have to drive further to the hospital.
I have stayed at this location many times during the Houston livestock show and rodeo. I travel with a service dog and I have never had a concern at this property. Since it is close to the med center it is common to see service dogs. The property has gone downhill and is littered with handwritten signs from the staff. After I had been there two nights the manager on duty suddenly had concerns about the size of my dog. She brought out a pet policy, which I was happy to acknowledge and sign, but I did point out the service animal exemption and offered to show my dogs registration card, even though that is legally not necessary. Even after I signed the policy, this manager followed me up to my room on the second floor to provide only one page of the two page policy to me. She made my stay incredibly uncomfortable on the last night. We were concerned that we would be evicted from our room. It caused an inordinate amount of stress when my son was preparing for a competition the next day. The staff at the hotel, had dogs sitting in cars throughout the day. There were multiple dogs around the property. And, after this incident, a gentleman who was taking out trash for the Motel started cat calling my dog and trying to get him to react in someway. Thankfully, even though he’s young and still in training, he did not react to this stimulus. I felt like it was a set up to try to get a reaction and have a reason to evict me. It is obvious that this property has changed ownership or manag
Convenient
Although facilities were dirty-roach invested could be seen-
Trash collection was in a room on guest floor with open containers (roachs heaven)
3 rooms down from my room!
Toilet not operating correctly
Overall stay unsuitable
Checked out a day ahead-
Gave up cost of one night just to leave
Hotel is very outdated, fruit flies filled the room along with roaches and a very strong order of mildew hits you at the front door and throughout the first floor.

Nowhere to sit besides the beds. No remote for the tv. Shower doors were stuck open. Toilet barely worked. Water temp for sink only went from hot to scalding.
Stayed there because my usual hotel was much higher in price because of the rodeo. The front desk clerk stated the were out of muffins and would get a shipment the next. But the next morning. A different clerk stated they don't them anymore. The website stated they did. That is my only complaint.

The room had a lot of space. Other than a car alarm that went on and off all night for one of our nights sleep, the hotel was quiet. It was pretty clean, too. But the lighting in the room was terrible. It was dim and just an odd color. I don’t know what bulbs they use but I had to open the curtains and sit by the window to put makeup on. It was impossible to see in the mirror by the sink.
The ice machine didn’t work in the hotel so we had to fill up our ice trays in the refrigerator and wait for them to thaw so my husband could use it for an ice pack.
The shower head was not working on one half so it was hard to get a good flow coming out to take a shower. I washed my hair in the kitchen sink because it was much easier. But when I went to look for a hair dryer, I couldn’t find one. The info paper by the phone said if wanted one, we could request it from the front desk. So I did but they said they didn’t have any. A hotel who doesn’t have a hair dryer? This wasn’t one of the cheapest hotels so I thought they would have one.
Much improved hotel! The 3rd floor room was clean, newer bathroom, comfy bed, new thermostat etc. the staff was wonderful, friendly and checked in after I got to the room just in case.
Close to MD Anderson a nice 12 minute walk, so that is convenient. Price was very good compared to other hotels in the area, so if you need a quick, easy stay near MD Anderson, this is it. However, seemed to be people up all night in the hallways, not sure why that would be. Cockroach ran across the little dinette, which is not good. I'd be very hesitant to stay longer than just one night here.
