The staff was great!! The room was horrible!! The bathroom tub had caulking all on it!! It needs to be replaced one of the TVs wasn't working at all.. It was in room 304!!

My sister and I were in town for the "ice event" in Houston. I inadvertently booked the wrong Embassy Suites and did not purchase trip protection because I was literally sitting in the parking lot. When I realized what had happened I called the correct Embassy to see if the reservation could be transferred. I was told it could not, but that she could "cancel my reservation". I told her no, that we would make the 45 minute drive to the correct hotel. When I arrived to check in, she had cancelled my reservation and could not retrieve it. She charged me an additional night and so got the money from the 3rd party reservation and the one I had to pay her for on the spot because she cancelled my reservation. Oh and then she wanted to charge me $45 to park in the parking lot for one night. Bait and Switch. The hotel was grimy. Peeling paint, torn wallpaper, room service trays littered the halls, glass in elevator was disgusting. Breakfast was nice and staff was lovely in the restaurant. Not my usual experience at the Embassy. If it wasn't for the entire town shutting down, I would have gone elsewhere. Bad experience.

There is alot of maintenance issues at the hotel. The bathroom door didn’t latch shut in the room I was staying in. Additionally, the bathroom floor had dirty foot prints on it. Good luck finding ice anywhere in the hotel even though they have ice buckets in the room. Supposedly there are free bags of ice in the store area but there was not and I asked the front desk they said the only ice machine in the entire building broke. The elevators is slow and the right one is sketchy like it’s going to break with you in it. Breakfast was shutting down at 9:00 am even though it claimed to be open until 10:00 am. The pool and hot tub does not work and hasn’t for months. ( I stayed there previously ) The front desk staff was amazing last time I was there but this time the lady was rude each day I interacted with her.

Hotel is in deplorable condition and anyone expecting Embassy Suites class will be disappointed. Breakfast area was so cold everyone had to wear coats. Breakfast selections limited (no protein unless you ask) Elevators dirty and slow. Paint and or wallpaper peeling from balcony areas. Room was dimly lit with wall switches decommissioned. Find another hotel until this one is fixed.

I reserved because I needed the hot tub... Well it was broken and empty.... Slow elevators for months... took minutes to get on it... other one was broken... front desk was friendly only reason i put 2 stars. Disappointed Hilton Gold member here :(
