Escape to Your Lake Cushman Retreat – A Perfect Blend of Comfort and Adventure
Located in a peaceful private community, this spacious 1,800 sq ft, four-bedroom, 2.5 bath cabin is the ultimate Olympic Peninsula getaway. Featuring a beautiful lake view of Lake Cushman right from the cabin, this meticulously updated home blends modern convenience with rustic mountain charm, making it perfect for both quiet remote-work oasis seekers and action-packed group vacations.
The Ultimate Outdoor Living Space
Maximize your time in the fresh Pacific Northwest air. Our backyard is designed for gathering and relaxation, featuring a large stone patio that serves as the centerpiece for outdoor entertainment. Gather around the fire pit for evening smores, or serve up a feast at our expansive outdoor picnic table that comfortably seats up to 10 guests.
Three Lakes & Exclusive Community Amenities
You are perfectly positioned to enjoy the best of the Lake Cushman community. Just a 1-minute walk from the cabin, you will find both Lake Cushman and Lake Standstill. A short 4-minute drive takes you to Lake Kokanee. Beyond the water, your stay includes access to fantastic community features:
Lake Cushman Golf Course: Enjoy a scenic, well-maintained 9-hole golf course nestled in the forested mountains.
Disc Golf: Challenge your group on the community's 18-hole disc-golf course.
Family Parks & Playgrounds: Let the kids burn off energy at the Lake Kokanee Park play area (4 minutes away) or the expansive Division 1 Park (a 20-minute drive, but still within the community).
Boat Launch & Parking Logistics
We have designed the logistics to make your arrival and water access seamless:
Ample Parking: Our cabin's driveway can easily fit a truck and trailer, along with about 3 to 4 additional vehicles comfortably. We highly recommend parking any watercraft safely on the property during your stay.
Public Boat Launch (Recommended): The public boat launch at the nearby Skokomish Campground is our top recommendation. It is less expensive than the private community launch, though please note it can get very busy during peak summer months.
Kayak & Paddleboard Rentals: Do not want to haul your own gear? We highly recommend reaching out to excellent local outfitters like Hood Canal Adventures or Hoodsport Wellness & Kayak Rentals for daily rentals. For the easiest experience with rental drop-offs, we recommend launching them from the nearby public Skokomish Campground. (We provide all their direct contact information and booking links in our digital welcome book once your reservation is confirmed!)
Private Community Boat Launch: There is a private community park, dock, and boat launch just a 1-minute walk from the cabin. All vehicles, watercraft, and trailers using the Lake Cushman Maintenance Company parks require paid passes. If you prefer the convenience of the private dock and launch, please let us know before you arrive so we can arrange the necessary passes with Lake Cushman Maintenance Company for an additional fee.
Pass Rules: Vehicles and trailers parked in community lots without permits may be towed. If you are bringing multiple watercraft on a single trailer, each watercraft requires its own individual pass.
