Very good

Our main issue was that our room was absolutely FREEZING and there was no way to change the temperature. The LOCKED thermostat was set at 70 degrees and it was located in the warm hallway so the air conditioner virtually never turned off. Our room was at least 10-15 degrees colder than the hallway. It was miserable.
We paid extra for a king suite and it was really just hotel sized and bathroom with jetted bathtub and double sinks. Definitely not a suite and definitely NOT worth the extra money.
The room, esp. the bathroom, was not super clean. A sink in the bathroom had not been cleaned and there was dirt and dust in the wall corners and on the baseboards. The bathtub had a pool of water with some dead bugs. The shower had a lot of calcium deposits on the enclosure which is easily eliminated with a melamine sponge.
There were some things that were downsides but out of the control of the caretakers that I just want to bring up. The house itself is extremely loud whenever people were talking or walking around probably because of its age. Also, the water was of poor quality and smelled like sulfur. That made taking a shower, brushing teeth and washing our faces unpleasant. They do have signs telling the guests why the water is the way it is but it was unpleasant.
We drove into Apalachicola FL from Panama City Beach FL, about an hour and a half away, for a wedding, but we wish we would have just driven home instead of spending $228 on a room where we didn’t enjoy the stay

Love this beautiful victorian home! Love the high ceilings and fans. Needs some updating and repairs as our bathroom door had a broken hinge and couldn't get TV to work. But all in all it was a good stay.🙂 Apalachicola was a very cool little town!
Well kept older home turned hotel, small room but well furnished. Conveniently located to walk Apalachicola. The only issue was that we couldn’t find an ice dispenser.

I booked a premium 2 bedroom apartment and got a 1 bedroom room. Not happy, but they have nothing else and it's after hours. I paid for something I didnt get and they have blamed Expedia. I will be looking into this tomorrow
Lovely old building but in poor repair. Very difficult to check in as no reception and have to do it through some app. Another hotel was back up with person who was very rude to us for not figuring it out . No one to ask questions about the area except chambermaid who were very nice by the way
It was better than good but not quite excellent. The toilet was low and sometimes wouldn’t stop running. I didn’t bother to call anyone because I just jiggled the handle and it stopped. There is no front desk or employees present and you must call someone to get any information or help, which they gladly and pleasantly provide. I am disabled and I called in advance and was given a first floor room, no problem. It’s an old house and very cool so you really can’t compare it to any modern hotel. The digital key system is horrible but I guess that’s the way things are going these days. Be careful because you can only use one phone or device to use the key to unlock the doors and they all have it. I would consider staying there again.
Stayed in room 11 at the villas, air conditioner made horrible noises all night (up stairs and downstairs unit right outside bedroom window) every 20 minutes reported the issue Saturday morning was told maintenance was on site and would fix issue. Same noises Saturday evening packed our bags and headed home could not deal with another restless sleep.

Wi-Fi room key app didn’t work had to drive about 6 blocks to another location at night to get a regular key, given wrong key had to get another. Plus lots of stairs !
So, while this old house is a beautiful old house, it’s JUST an old house. There is no on site staff or service, you call a number and someone runs over from another property. Our second floor room was like an oven, so I called to inquire about someone adjusting the a/c. The nice guy who answered said he would come adjust the thermostat, which he did set from 76 to 72. However, while the first floor did cool off some, our room never got below 74! The couple in the room next to us assured us that we weren’t the only ones who felt this way.
The bedding was beautiful, but I’m pretty sure the mattress came with the original house when it was built.
I gave it a 4 star rating on eco friendliness because there was only one out of three bulbs in the overhead light that was working😝. Left off one star because it was actually hard to see.
On the up side, there is a Keurig maker in the room, but I won’t be returning to use it.
