Waterless View

We wanted a waterview room but were not able to get. Nothing worse then having your balacony face a parking lot.

Room was very efficient. Only dislike was the smell when entering (due to no circulation in the room) Oncw the AC was turned on it was better! Some updates need to be changed to the bathroom. And feedback to the hotel not in a negative way but the carpet from the elevators to the room should be taken up and Tiles. Easier for rolling luggage’s and also more ramps should be placed at each staircase for easier access of carrying our luggage and wheelchair accessible.

After 40 years in hospitality I have to share that Omni gets it right! Every single staff member greeted us with a smile and willingness to make our day better. The housekeeping staff went beyond to fix a problem caused by my family and did so quickly, thoroughly and kindly. Can’t praise them enough!! The food both at breakfast and outside at the Boughy cafe was delicious and reasonably priced for a resort. We have stayed at the Westin and Hilton and the Omni has them beat by far! Our room was also lovely! Couldn’t recommend the Omni more! We’ll be back next year!

The rooms have been quasi updated but it’s surface level, ie the bathroom doors are warped and peeling from moisture, the bath caulking/stripping falling off, etc. The lounge/sports bar is dark and dingy. All public areas have weathered wood, rust on stairs, the glass and stainless around elevators and public areas are dirty and filled with hands and fingerprints, even room doors showed hands and fingerprints. It’s just not up to the Omni standards we’re accustomed to.

The Omni exceeded our expectations. The location in Palmetto Dunes is perfect — walkable to tennis, golf, general store and more on a beautiful, wide, easily accessible beach. Pools and poolside dining were just right. Room was spacious, well appointed and seemingly newly renovated. Property was exceptionally well maintained. Would return without hesitation.

Good for price and location

Great: service was almost impeccable, the bar staff at the pool were not awesome but everyone else was amazing. Food was pretty good for hotel food. Beds and room were big, clean and comfortable. Not so great: the noise at the pool was overwhelming, the music is too loud and there are not enough places to sit for the size of the pool. The pool chairs are soooooo uncomfortable. The walkways need to be upgraded, they are so hot you can hardly walk barefoot on them and the wood is splintering. Walkways to beach need upgrading, soooooooooooo many ants, garbage and towels left everywhere. There isnt a lot in walking distance so yoy have to use a car or shuttle to get around and there is quite a bit of traffic no matter where you go.
