The biggest and most disturbing experience was finding a used tampon in the hot tub. While I understand things happen, but this was absolutely disgusting for my children to see. They did not even drain the hot tub. I was told they cleaned the hot tub upon my husband mentioning to the staff, but that is disgusting and I would expect it completely drained. If this was the only issue, I probably would have chalked it up to a one off issue. The second thing is that the website advertises that kids eat breakfast and lunch free and get 50% off dinner with an adult entree purchase. This was a huge selling point for us because my husband and I are not big lunch eaters, so the kids eating free sounded fantastic. I even called to confirm this was accurate before our stay, and they confirmed yes! Fast forward to our stay, we order the kids lunch by the pool and were told adult meals need to be purchased for lunch too in order to get the kids free. We spoke to the manager at the Buoy Bar that day who advised us they were receiving several complaints about this and they were addressing it with corporate. He said he would make sure we did not pay for any of the kids meals during our stay. I thought okay, that’s fantastic! The next day at the pool, I brought this up to the manager when ordering my kids lunch and she actually laughed at me saying the other manager doesn’t know what he’s talking about and it is what it is. She totally dismissed any concerns and told

The Omni is a nice property overall and everyone working at the restaurants/bars was kind and provided good service. However, front desk service and guest care is poor. We stayed for 5 nights and experienced a water leak in our room on the second day. We were moved to the same type of room which had AC that didn't work. We were patient with these issues and with having to pack and unpack and even asked about extending our stay. The front desk staff offered nothing in response to these poor experiences, and refused to accommodate us for additional nights at the same rate. When we were asked open checkout - twice - about our experience, we expressed that we were disappointed that there was nothing offered to make up for the disruptive stay.

Such a perfect family friendly resort! We went for MDW and there were so many fun activities all day. Staff was nothing short of wonderful. Beautiful grounds and very well maintained. This was our second trip-- first with the kids. We came for our first babymoon years ago and knew we would be returning!

Not what it was

This place has fallen off in the past year. Never any towels at the pool and the staff was just behind on cleaning tables and common areas. What was really disappointing was how people brought their own speakers and alcohol to the adult pool, despite posted rules. This is a 300 dollar hotel at a 700 dollar price point
