Poor customer service. I left important clothing behind in the dresser of my room. Once I realized it, I was not permitted to get back into the room to retrieve my items, even though the room was not rented. The front desk clerk was indifferent to my situation and would not bend. She kept telling me I’d have to wait u til the next morning when the housekeeping crew cane in. I explained that would be too late.

The room was clean and basic. This was okay. The lack of Staff available to to do perfunctory tasks like swap out towels was a decided negative. If the bath ware for a weekend can be accessed for the giving directly to the guest at the front desk, it should be delivered to the room. Otherwise the stay was decent. The staff was a the least neutral and helped if prompted. In one sense this is good, many people do not want to trip over staff, however, in another sense you feel the people were working short handed and a bit harried.

Overall, I had an OK experience. Location is near the airport and staff are friendly, but around 6-7 am every morning, the cleaning service starts, and they talked to each other loudly, and I couldn't sleep well every early morning.

Upon arriving, I was notified that Expedia booked me a handicapped room. Also, another fee was added. A $10 incidental fee after Expedia assured me there were no other fees. Very disappointed.

Awful Awful Awful. I come to Hilton Head Island every year for the Concours Car Show and usually stay at the Simple Rewards Inn, an older motel nearby. This year I thought I would treat myself to an upgrade and stay at the Hampton Inn. I’ve been a Hilton Rewards member for over 30 years and in all that time I have never seen such a poor example of a Hilton Brand hotel. It’s an older two story motel in serious need of renovation. The first clue was the elevator. It was so dusty I immediately began to sneeze and my eyes started burning. I can’t imagine that the elevator shaft had ever been cleaned or the fan filter replaced. A dirty elevator is the first clue of a poorly maintained property. The room was nice enough and the bed was comfortable but the windows were filthy like they hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. Again that only minimal maintenance is being done. This Inn is just not up to Hampton Inn standards. My suggestion would be to tear it down and build a proper Hampton Inn & Suites. Jack Baldwin. Nice and Comfortable

Our room was clean and well appointed. The bed was comfortable. I think there should be a towel rack in the bathroom because there was no place to hang up a towel. That's my only complaint. The omelet they served was light and fluffy.

I had a weekend stay at this property, it was very clean, staff was extremely nice,polite, and very helpful. Gorgeous area withctons of near by stores and attractions. Parking was great, I would definitely stay here again.
