A woodburner and even a disco ball brings warmth and a touch of fun to your evenings. The king-sized bedroom features original beams and leads to a luxurious en-suite bathroom with a triple shower. Outside, you’ll find a charming seating area at the front, while to the rear, a few steps take you to a private sun trap, the perfect spot for a morning coffee or sunset drink. Guests also have direct access to riverside and woodland walks via the grounds. One dog is welcome, though due to nearby livestock, they must be kept on a lead.

History lovers will enjoy a day out at Hexham Abbey or exploring the nearby Roman heritage sites, including Hadrian’s Wall and Chesters Roman Fort.
For foodies and walkers alike, the village of Blanchland (5 miles) is not to be missed; its honey-stone buildings, 12th-century abbey, and award-winning Lord Crewe Arms pub make it a favourite destination. The market town of Hexham (6 miles) offers a host of independent shops, cafés, and restaurants, plus a lively farmers’ market , cinema and theatre; also Corbridge (5.7 miles) offers Roman site Corstopitum and independent shops including House and Gardens Best Independent Retailer of the year 2025, RE, and High Street Hero Small Shop award winner Vintage at The Tower. Venture slightly further and you can explore the stunning landscapes of the North Pennines AONB or spend a day discovering Alnwick Castle and its famous gardens.
For those looking for a slower pace, simply step outside and enjoy the rich network of walks from the doorstep, or relax with a drink at one of the local pubs, the closest being under a mile away.
