Comfortable inn - good base for exploring Normandy

This is comfortable auberge with spacious rooms - a good place to explore the Normandy region. There was an issue with the dinner which I had paid for however didn't seem to show up in the booking. However the problem was very quickly resolved jointly by both Hotels.com and the the Auberge owner. I'm very satisfied with the promptness and the customer service of Hotels.com.

Auberge agréable mais...

L'auberge est agréable, calme et authentique (les animaux autour du pont d'eau). Le restaurant est très bien : bonne cuisine avec de bon produits locaux. Les chambres sont propres et conformes à ce qui est annoncé. Déception au niveau du jacuzzi : seul le petit est ouvert en février et nous regrettons l'absence de peignoirs... Nous avions sélectionné cet établissement en raison du jacuzzi donc un peu déçus sur ce point.

Geen respect voor prijsafspraken

De check-in was een ijskoude douche. Het verblijf volgens half pension was op voorhand betaald maar bij de check-in weigerde de hoteluitbater het half pension aan de reeds betaalde prijs. Bij de check-out werd een supplement aangerekend. Initieel weigerde de uitbater ons te logeren omdat de kamer via Hotels.com geboekt was. De kamer was zeer ruim en had een mooi uitzicht op de rivier. Het concept van de badkamer was minder goed. Wanneer meneen douche nam werd alles nat met als resultaar dat de verf aan de onderzijde van de deur van de badkamer volledig was afgepeld. Avondmaal in het restaurant is uitstekend. Ontbijt is marginaal beperkt in keuze, wenst men meer (bijvoorbeeld ei, kaas of hesp) dan moet supplement betaald worden. De hoteluitbater komt niet vriendelijk over. Parkeerplaats aan het hotel is aanwezig doch onvoldoende. In het dorp kan men probleemloos parkeren op korte afstand van het hotel. Het dorp zelf ligt verloren op het platte land en ligt op ruime afstand van aantrekkelijke plaatsen zoals Etretat en Fécamp. Een auto is dus verplicht

Mooi kleinschalig hotel in het prachtige Normandië. Mooi in het groen gelegen. Ruime kamer. Ook geschikt voor een gezin. Ik had de formule 'soirée étape' en dat was inclusief ontbijt én diner. Een lekker keuze menu en qua prijs zeer aanvaardbaar! Een aanrader
