Great hotel in great location with balcony views of river. However directly across river was brightly lit parking lot and bar band that played loudly until late night and ruined the experience.

This is such a nicely-themed property, and it’s a plus to have the Chattahoochee River just outside our room. There are several stairways that lead right down to the river.

Its a bit outdated, but was decent. There was a lot of mattress protectors and it was decent considering the price factor. It was near all the shops and parking was decent. The walls are super thin though so we did feel some banging around from the room next door to us. The staff was friendly and always available and checked in with us at reasonable times. We checked in kind of late but didn't seem to be an issue. Checking in and out was super simple. Would most likely stay here again.

I had stayed before in Helen, but never one of the charming , older ones ! That was this establishment. Right next door to the stellar Bodensee restaurant and the thrilling Alpine coaster. This place rocks. It is clear the care and preservation they put into the property. The breakfast was a great variety of pre packed goodies, and fresh juices. Better than I expected ; The set up was so easy and convenient! I love the cats on the property. It was such a low key and relaxed atmosphere. The lobby looks like the Hufflepuff Common House in the best way! I will always recommend this property to any friends wanting the ultimate Helen experience. The cool, misty mornings at the creek are a reason alone to make the visit.

Nice Stay

Hotel is right off main street. You are close to shopping and the Georgia mountain coaster. We got a premium room. It was nice. Had a balcony overlooking the river. We had a table and chairs in our room and the room was decorated in old German style. Breakfast was continental. Individual packages of Muffins, breakfast burritos, sausage biscuits, yogurt and bagels are what we had a choice of.

Even tho this maybe an older property loved it! It is right on the river with access to the river. It is right next to all the shops. Staff is wonderful. This is going to be our annual spot.

Like most of Helen, this property's decor is dated and almost childish. The staff is pleasant and accommodating, and the room is fairly clean. Overall, the atmosphere is tired and tacky. The charm is long gone.

Spring Break

Great room, middle of everything. Literally everything was within walking distance. Loved the views. Small glitch with tv but honestly not enough to bother with. Besides, we were there to explore and tire kids out. Overall, great experience.

For the place being kinda spendy, I feel the balcony could have been swept, and the outside grounds swept. The bath tub caulk needs the mold scrubbed out. The bed was comfortable.
