This place is amazing from the Food lots of variety to the staff to the location beautiful place and beach its also very close to shopping and other beaches . I would definitely recommend staying here

Just an excellent stay, got much more than we expected. Only 1 day there was a bit of a lapse in dining staff, but we figured they were short staffed. But other than that, I soooo recommend. Not a huge amount of food, but nice choices and excellent. If you want to relax in paradise, this is the place to go!

Love Sugar bay! It's a small resort which is so nice traveled with a 13 year old who was able to do her own thing, make some friends, feel independent all while I knew where she is as nothing is far. The staff is incredible here All are so nice and we made lovely friends with some The customers are all great as well which makes for a great experience all around The food at the Buffett is great and selections change. Drinks are amazing Rooms are nice and clean Can't wait to visit again one day

VIsited this resort 8/21-8/24 due to hurricane Erin i loss a whole day of vacation, got to the resort around 11pm hostess was very helpful your food options are limited no entertainment one pool and pigeons and stray cats roam the resort. rooms was a gardenview room but didnt face a a garden but construction of a side of the resort being rehabbed, staff was friendly not much to do onsite if you are looking to just relax eat and rest i recommend not my typical vacation but enjoyed my reset time

Very nice property needs upgrade with elevators since steps only option to get to 400 rooms and definitely needs room upgrades with AC in rooms . We made it work while there that week . Overall enjoyed the property .

Property had its pros & cons. Enjoyed the food 80% & the swim up bar staff & open bar/cleaning staff were very friendly. Excursions guy was hard to keep up with & we did run into a problem there, but it eventually got settled to the best of our abilities. Rooms were decent. we did run into a problem & it was handled the same night we went to the lobby. Beware of solicitors on the beach, big no no! Gated property, so that’s a plus. Swim up bar is awesome. Transportation /private cars provided a sense of safety but they Tax! Everybody experience is different, but this is my take.7/10. Also book in advance amenities!

The resort was cozy and homey. The food was hands down the best food at any resort I’ve stayed in. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks AMAZING ALL WEEK. The bar tenders extremely professional. Shout Out to Aykeem. Excellent bartender.

We went to celebrate my birthday and there were no restaurants available for dinner. This is what was offered. We spent a lot of money for this trip.

Sugar Bay is beautiful. It's quiet and smaller than super-resorts. The food was good - Sizzler steakhouse was outstanding. Getting to the hotel and accessing excursions was easy. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Would highly recommend.
We were lucky enough to be there for sea turtle hatchings.

My family of five stayed here August 2025. I read all the reviews and did my research before booking. If you want paradise, Sugar Bay is NOT it. The staff is very rude. The food is mediocre at best. You only get to eat at one of their restaurants per a 5 day stay. Never had this at an all inclusive before. Had to pay to eat at the other restaurant. There is absolutely nothing to do at this hotel in the evening. It was dark every night by 6:30pm, which I didn’t realize when I booked. Barbados is a no for me. We had a rental car and ventured out twice. It was horrible. My family has done all inclusive at several different Caribbean locations, this is by far the worst overpriced place we have stayed. The water was not the Caribbean blue I have seen at other islands. My opinion is go somewhere else for sure!!
