Unfortunately my stay was quite unpleasant. I left to get some food after checking in but when I got back I saw used condoms on the floor next .. I am assuming these were from a previous guest but room was just not cleaned enough. I requested a change of room or at least bedding at the time but no one came to my room to even try rectify the issue …it just made me feel so uncomfortable, disgusted and totally unpleasant . The shower was leaking , there were cockroaches in the bathroom … the standards were really low for that price .

Rooms look a little tired but ok. Garden was not well looked after. (cut trees not completely removed, uncut lawn) I had a beer at the poolbar around 12:45. Tables were not cleaned. I had lunch at 13:50 at the restaurant. Outside tables were occupied by staff having lunch. Weird. IMHO Cresta Lodge just meets minimum standards. Not better, not worse.

The property is in Harare City, but almost feels like in the country becasue of the lovely grounds. The staff were helpful and the food was good. The room comfortable. The shower wasn't 100% consistant with its temperature, but worked ok.
