Received a room upgrade and had a nice breakfast with my kid. Next to West Lake, so can’t beat the location. Swimming pool is small but we enjoyed it anyway. Nice views from the terrace on the 6th floor overseeing the lake. Overall, a great stay.

The hotel claims to be 5 stars but the lobby, facilities and staff manner are not up to this level. 4 stars at most. Dining choices and quality are not 5 stars too. In brief, not the Sofitel standard as expected. However, the room is spacious and very close to West Lake. Traffic around the hotel is pretty congested too. Would consider other 5 stars around the Lake in next trip.
